I have had surgery about 3 and 1/2 months ago and my side where they cut in to me is still tender I was wondering if you all noticed if it takes you alot longer to heal?  I realize that it was a massive surgery but cant get over how much it still hurts.

Sorry you are still in pain....my experience has been that it takes twice as long to get over illnesses, etc.

Hang in there

I find I heal slower than before. I haven't had any major surgeries since diagnosis but I find little things take longer, like where I had a little keratosis frozen off my shin, it took almost 6 months for the scabby/scarry area to clear completely. Normally that would have taken my a month or 6 weeks.  And right now I have an infected big toe and am debating whether or not to go to the dr to get antibiotics as all my home remedies that usually work have failed for the last 10 days.I had a knee replacement in July and had staples removed two and a half weeks later with no healing problems.  Also had a flap graft on my nose in August with no healing problems.  If my cat scratches me I carry the scab around for weeks.  Go figure.  LindyAll my hopes for lipo and a boob job are out the window, huh?? It takes longer to heal with mtx, I've heard. Lyndai have found since being on the prednisone that i bruise if you look at me funny, simple or small cuts take weeks to heal even with neosporin and junk!  it makes me worry esp the bruising thing!  plus i catch anything and everything that goes round!  and i def hear yall on the acne, i have NEVER EVER had acne, now my face looks awful-i have really red, large cystic acne on my chin and jaw that wont go away and hurts!  its so embarressing!  I am covered with bruises everywhere. esp my legs. its horrible. all different stages of healing.. and  every little sore takes forever to heal. I recently had a bout with a systemic infection..lovely..  started  with a  litttle BV and turned into  small boils everywhere. I'm still on antibiotics, Every spot is still in the earliest stage of healing.. its disgusting.
