I have been taking Lortab 10's... ahhh wroks fair just wished it lasted longer than 3-4 hrs.

So, when I take these my muscles feel kinda like they are going to go numb. You know the feeling you get just before your leg falls asleep and you think "Oh it is starting to fall asleep." Well, that is how my muscles all over have felt like. It makes me feel weaker and weird.

Anyone else get this feeling?

be careful. lortabs are highly addictive

Yeah, I know. Thanks for the reminder. ; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:

Less serious side effects are more likely to occur, such as:

Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.

I did tell them about it yesterday. They did not say much about it, except it seemed to be to strong for me. So they told me to just take it before bedtime, but I HAD to take another one when I woke up this morning, to get rid of this "broken" ankle feeling and to be able to walk. It is so never ending.

If Lortabs are hydrocodone, that's mainly what I take...Vicodin ES (which is 7.5 mg rather than 10).  Joonie, is the feeling just weirding you out, or is it physically bothering you?  Just curious...I don't get that sensation when I take them.

not taking them together. Just what I was RXed at different times. I have not took the Darvocet since Thursday. I gave into taking the lortabs over the weekend.

Lortab 10s kick my ass, and make me stagger around, like I am drunk.

Ya'll do not understand how much i do not want to take these pain meds. I know they are addictive, have seen what some in my family are like while addicted to them, and I come from a family of addicts. So... I would rather not become anything like them... I have went this long without ending up like them, my plans are to continue to not end up like them. Ya'll think I am depressed, ya'll should meet half my family, and I would look pretty damn chipper and not so depressed after ya meet them.

I just did not read anything about it, in the leaflet that came with my meds, so i figured it was not something THAT bad, but wanted to make sure.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Joonie, you can break them in half if need be... take 1/2 tablet, then take the other 1/2 in an hour or so if you need it.  They also make tablets w/6.5mg or 7.5mg hydrocodone (the opiate) in them, in case the 5's aren't strong enough and the 10's are too strong.

Yeah... I could not break the one i took today in half, but I will get hubby to break me some in half, just incase I need one while he is gone to work like I did this morning.

I just need an alternative to Lortabs, but one that does not have to be PAed!

They have these nifty little pill cutter thingys at CVS (probably at Walmart too).  Even I can do it by myself with the pill cutter.

Why do you take pictures? Do you think your doctor will not believe you otherwise? The only other person I've heard of who takes pictures like that was Roxy. Wonder how she is doing. Didn't you say you were going to post pics on the board? That's good that hubby at least noticed your ankle was swelled. It must make you feel good like he is paying attention to you. My hubby wouldn't notice, but he's blind, so I don't fault him for it.

Glad to hear you were just bluffing when you said you were taking a break from here.

Please be very careful with the pain medication. Those are very addicting.

Hey, Joonie! I take pictures from time to time as well. I had some weird reactions at my Enbrel injection site that I wanted my doctor to see. My appointments are usually three months apart, so taking the photos is very useful. It helps show the extent of the swelling, redness, etc. Some people write down how they feel every day, others use photo journals. It's all good!

I think those pill cutters Crispy is referring to are fairly cheap. It's hard as hell to break the pills with your fingers or a knife because you end up with something that's not quite half. Biting them in half gives you that bitter pill taste. Blech! My vote is for the pill cutter!

No, do not care if he noticed it. I wish he wouldn't to be frank. He just remembered I asked for a Lortab 10 for my ankle. So, he looked at it while I was sitting on the couch.

yeah, I know. That is why I have resisted them until this point. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Nice to see ya playng games again, Soxy/Foxy/Moxy/Doxy/poxy/loxy/joxy

I will tell hubby about it once again, so amybe he will help me to remember.
