Hi Everyone
I posted on here last week and got some great information about RA. I was just diagnosed about 3 weeks ago and still have not been on any meds except pred. It helped me so much and took away the pain and then when I had to stop it all came back. I was asking last week about not having a RA factor positive and still being diagnosed with RA. Everyone gave me great info and told me about sero-negative which I didn't know about. Some asked what me other numbers were and I didn't know because I didn't have copies of my blood work. I got copies yesterday and was wondering what somethings mean. My RD went through it so fast when the results came back but now I have questions and plan on asking her tomorrow. My anti-nuclear AB, EIA (I think this is ANA) says positive. My anti-nuclear AB Titer is 1:40 and ANA pattern is speckled. My C-Reactive protein is 32mg and SED rate is 28. Does anyone have experience decifering these tests? If not I will ask tomorrow. I have had an upper-resporitory infection so have not been able to start on Embrel and can't take any of the oral meds as my liver tests were a little high. AST (49) ALT (78). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lev, can you help Angie out? I'm not 100% sure.........but I think those are in normal ranges....... I'm not great with the test parts....but ya know, thats what full sero-negative means, nothings off the charts!! So ya never know! Hopefully someone who knows these better will pop on. Otherwise, just ask your doctor!
