painful humeria | Arthritis Information

 

Good morning

I have been on humeria now once weekly now for almost a year now...not alot of results ..so far...i use the pen injector thing and I dont know if I am doing it wrong or if it hurts like hell with everyone. I took enbreal and had the syrienge....and that didnt hurt as much am I not doing it right .....anyone had experience

 

 

 

I did not have the pen, but I did have the Humera syringe.  The fluid itself hurts like H***.  I think you are doing it fine, but the fluid is what is hurting I would venture to say.  I would wonder why they are not changing you to something else.  If Humera is not working then it is time to move on.

I've been on Humira for about 6 years now.  If you read the ingredients you'll see citirc acid.  My rheumy told me it was there to bring the ph up to balance.  So anyway you take it it's gonna burn like a million bee stings.  I give it very slow - to the point of it taking about 10 minuets to inject the entire dose.  The pharmisist tried to tell me to let it warm up a little, but that wont help, acid is acid at any temperature.  Hope this helps.
I get the bee sting too. Glad it doesn't hurt long - only about a minute - but it does SMART.thanks to everyone for the responses....guess I have to keep on keeping on  I have been on enbreal no luck...orencia I was on a clinical trial with this and methotrexate liver counts went out of sight and had to stop

Yes it burns like H@#*!!!!! My kids think its kinda funny how I scream owie every time I do the shot!!!
