Doctor gave me a prescription for a powered wheelchair it says,PT. to have electric w/c to aid with ADL'S. dx: sever rhuematoid arthritis, fibromyalgia.

Now what do I do next. I have been turned down once already because of being to mobile that was a few years ago.  I don't think that is the problem now. Seeings how I can barely get around. Can someone tell me how to go about doing this so I can get help from my medicare on this.

Thanks for your help.

RLS2.....I thnk you find a WC dealer or store, present the script to them & they will file a claim for the insurance company - OR  have you pay for it & the insurance will reimburse you after they get the claim.  Either way I think it's up to you to contact a WC supplier.  Hope this helps - Good Luck!

I know where i live there are health care supply stores... the offer things thru ins and to pay outright... they have things from wrist braces to wheelchairs to recliners that lift you up...I know 2 names are Binson's and Healthcore...see if you have either of those companies near you...

Congrats for the script and good luck in the hunt...
