Hello All,
I am a newbie so I will tell you a bit about myself.
I have lived with Rheumatoid Arthritis for about 35 years now.
I have had both hips and both knees replaced.
I walk normally, without sticks and am still mobile and drive a car.
I am happily married to a very patient loving wife,
I have one very large son,
I live in Scotland which can be very damp and cold at times,
I am retired now and still enjoy life very much.
I have had many bad times and have learned how to cope with a great deal of pain over the years.
If I can pass on any advice or experience about how I coped and what I have learned over the years please do not hesitate to contact me.
As one who knows from long experience It does pass with time.
My best regards to you all - Kayjay.
Hi Kayjay,
All the best Ally
Ji KayJay, welcome to AI. It will be great to have someone with so much experience here! Check out the RA board which is the really active one here and where most people post. I hope to see you there! It is very refreshing to have someone who can lead the way by proving that by doing it right, you can get on top of this in a way that might not be what you wanted or demanded, but a life that is rewarding via a different venue. I appreciate your inspirational post.
KayJay, thanks for coming to join us. I am pretty newly dx and am still frustrated without a lot of control thank you for a great picture of your journey.
By the way, Scotland was my favorite holiday we ever had while living in England.
