Chat November 20 | Arthritis Information

Goodmorning all

Had a very rotten nights sleep, but have a sub job today.  I will teach another day of Art.  It was kinda fun.  I had glitter all over me!

I am hurting and just wondering how I am going to get everything done that I need to do for Thanksgiving.  Oh well, I shall survive.  I could so use a day of rest!  Hopefully tomorrow afternoon.  I will cook some and rest some.

We finally got our cool change and the temp is much more bearable, there is a lovely cool breeze and there was a bit of rain with it.  I ache, I'm tired, ( no sleep last night cause it was toooooo hot).  But, the best news is....I'm getting a cold.

My mum phoned today and I talked to her for almost an hour and a half!  I think she said it costs her something like .20 to talk for that long.  When I first came to Australia phoning home used to cost me .00 a minute.  I phoned on Christmas and that was about it.  Its so nice to be able to pick up the phone and call home and not have to worry about the cost.

I had better get going with my Christmas cards...I don't send as many as I used to.  I used to send about 50 every Christmas, home to Canada.  I would get about 8 or 10 each year, so I gradually cut down on the number I sent.  I better get things sorted so that I can spend my week off doing quiet things like writing Christmas cards and getting ready for the big day.  I'll put the tree up that week too.

Now I just have to get rid of this miserable cold....

Sorry your not feeling well Pammy...hope you get rid of it in time for your surgery.

Good news!!! The dog caught the mouse!!!  We both kinda flipped out when we saw her catch it but it is caught none the less

PPPPHHHEEEEWWW!  only 2 and a half hours more of work.  I am completely exhausted!!!  I am grumpy cause I didn't sleep, cause I was hurtin'.  I just feel crummy!  I have so much to do and so little time.  I have to work on my grocery list for tomorrow.  I will be making ravioli's tonight.

Have a great day!

Getting ready to go to parent-teacher conferences at the school with the boys... we get to find out just how rotten they are. Just got back... both boys are excelling in math and science; both need work on handwriting and social studies... JUST LIKE MOM Their ALL gonna laugh at you....

I gots a goofy kitty. She does not like her new kitty litter. She keeps kicking it out all over the floor.

Here Kitty... kitty.... kitty.....

Don't worry, hon... she'll grow out of it in a few years.  They tend to slow down and get a bit lazier as they get to be about 3 or 4, though they never totally calm down or become sane and rational.

Evening Everyone

Whats everyone's plans for Thanksgiving? What are ya cooking. We'll be going to my sisters for a family dinner...I'm cooking the turkey, dressing, gravy, brocolli casserole, and sweet potato casserole. And some kind of desert. My neice called this evening and invited us to dinner at her house tomorrow night. I will gain 50lbs if I'm careful

So, can I whine and complain now???

I don't like our new home.

Seriously, the daily chat took up one stinkin' thread on the main board. Has moving it really made for less clutter on the main board??

I don't  think soooooooooo.

I TOTALLY agree with Gale.  We've gone from 15-20 pages of chatter to 2.   And other cluttery OT's are still coming up on the main page

Like I said, no matter if it's 10 pages or 50 pages, our daily chat posts are contained in one single thread.

I for one, like to be able to chat on the off topic thread, refresh the page, and post then something RA related. This site is too freaking slow to be totally switching from one forum to another.

AND...us moving over here is in NO WAY going to reduce clutter on the main board. The same people that complain about the clutter are the same people that are continuing to post OT threads of their own.

Man... it took me 3 days to get my pot roast to cooking  Ya know pammy and Gale...our OT daily chats were never rude or ugly...it was friendly and helpful and I enjoyed it so much, I think we should go back and ask that contraversial subjects be posted elsewhere. Like here. I think most people enjoyed reading the daily chat even if they didn't post much. What are some suggestions from you guys??Are you doing the pot roast in a crock pot joonie?Hey girls... just got back from the "board room."

I think you're right Mo...quite a few people have posted about how much they enjoy reading the chat thread, even though they themself don't post in it.

For me, the daily chat is just as important as chatting and learning about RA. It can be a big stress reliever at times, AND, it can take my mind off of my pain when I'm chattin' with you crazies!

It has been on since 2pm, it is nice and tender... just checked on it. Smells GREAT!

Later tonight I will be laying in bed with my stummy growling and then I will give in about 4am and eat some of the potatoes... that's a No-no, but they are SOOOO GOOOD! *drools*

yeah the daily chat thread was meant for people to post on & off topic stuff to it or tell about how they REALLY felt that day, without having to start a new thread. I mean we did have a couple of guys joining in on the daily chat threads, which is GREAT! Some guys do not like to start a thread about how they are feeling that day as they feel they are "complaining" when they really are not. But ya know how that goes.

Gale I agree the chat thread was a stress reliever for me too. Laughing at some of our crazy antics was good therapy! Now everybody's about gone

I could go to sleep. but once I get half my pred in me I will not be able to sleep.

Gale I can't believe you don't like to smell pot roast...what are you eatin for Thanksgiving? Oh and good idea to Jasmine...have another beer Jas!

I bought a Honey Baked Ham for Thanksgiving. Since it's just going to be Dale and I, I'm keeping it simple. Ham, potatos, veggies, salad, and rolls.

And trust me, I'll eat everything except the ham.

Com'on people... be a social butterfly like the rest of us

I say, lets REVOLT!!!

Gale I think you should invite some neighbors or the mailman for dinner, ya'll will be lonely.

I mean it is that time of the year... when some people need their spirits lifted or a smile for the day or just be able to talk!

So I say... saturday we revolt and revolutionize and march back to the RA board and post like nobodies business.

Viva revolution! Viva REVOLUTION!! VIVA REVOLUTION!!!

Invite my crazy neighbor Pam? NEVER! LOLOk did ya'll get the little Taco bell dog in your head, like I did, when you read the viva revolution?

Taco bell the fourth meal

OMG! Viagra... I think some people need that damn little blue pill... they would be much happier.

I hate to run, but I need to take my meds and go lay down. I am starting to feel the rain and it is turning cold again! It was in the 70's today, but suppose to drop down to 50's. UGH!

Night guys!

*Singing*....

Good night Joonie hope you don't wake up crappy tommorw or with red skins stuck to your lip.

Pammy do you do Thanksgiving dinner?

I think moving the thread here was suggested by a couple of people that also moved the political stuff here.  I do not see any reason not having the Daily Chat with the rest.  I miss everyone who is not participating in the Daily Chat anymore.

Oh....It is Snowing like crazy here in Sunny Wyoming right now.  You only know what kinda pain I am in.  I took my vicodin, and still feel the snow on my joints!

Yep, I work tomorrow. Then I'm off until Monday. YEAH!!!!!

Hi Miss Shelly!

Hi Miss Bris, how are ya girlie?

Hi Mona...glad you slept all day.  I should have, but had to go man an art class for the last two days....I am so beat.

I am going to get my handicap sticker for the car tomorrow.

One bracelet down 5 to go Hey Shelly girl! I am sooo jealous1 I want snow so bad I can't stand it. Sorry it makes you hurt so bad...take another vicodin if you can.No, we don't do thanksgiving down under.  Last year I was home for Canadian Thanksgiving for the first time in 20 years.  It was fantastic!  I loved doing the turkey dinner with the family

I may have to a little later.  I do have my message tomorrow for my back and shoulders....then I have to go to the eye doc.  I will have Brandon with me so he can drive home.  I think he will dialate my eyes again to check the optic nerve and pressure.  My sight is kinda wacky these days!

It is piling up nicely!  I hope hubby has to stay home.  I love the snow, even if it makes me hurt!!!!

Sorry guys...I gotta run. My cat just jumped up on my lap and proceded to puke all over my keyboard. Totally gross!

Anyway, talk to ya'll tomorrow. Sleep tight everyone!

WEll, I need a memory...does it help you remember things?  I love your work Pammy....you have great talent!

Sorry Bris...nighty, night!

 YUK Brisen!! Goodnight hon...love ya..

Ok Pammy I love your work and photography!

Shelly how much snow are ya'll expecting? Do ya'll drive in it pretty well?

Up to five inches.  I lived in Alaska for ten years.  In Anchorage you prayed for snow to cover the ice so you could get traction on the road.  Yes, I do well driving in the snow.  I have to get both kids on it though.  Although I hated to go over the pass to Laramie with the snow and ice to go to University.

Thanks Shelley

I do too.  Although the numbness lately has been getting a lot worse.  I do try to crochet as I am relaxing, and I am still working on that blasted quilt for Eleya.

Eleya watched me put in my contacts today, and commented on my hands being numb and someday having to wear glasses full time again.  I told her that will be the last thing I give up!

I could never drive in the snow...we don't get enough to practice in

Gosh, I would hate to think of what hubby would do with a needle and thread!  Scary thought.

I guess if hubby will do repairs you don't need to.  I do these things, because that is how I relax at night.  If I take only five minutes and do a row or whatever I sleep better.  Gets my mind off of this disease and all of the effects I guess.

WOW!  You've done it again Miss Pammy!!!!  I am so proud of you!

I am beat and ready to crash.  Pammy start the thread in the old place and see if we get more people back!!!

Love ya both, and will check in tomorrow.  I've got ta get ready for the big feast at our house...where I will be cooking alone!

So are we posting tomorrows chat thread in the main section?

Not to say we should run away or anything, but I wanted to let you guys know that the new RA Sushi site is up! Me and Liz and Crunchy worked really hard on it, and I think it's FINALLY what we've been trying for all this time.

My vote is that we move this badboy back to the main section tomorrow!!!!

I'm with you Katie and Shelly and Mona,  I think we should move back.  I don't see why we should be banished.

You got my vote and I know you have Gales as well!

Hey Katydid! Bye Katydid!

Pammy the bracelets are beautiful! You have a great talent. Shelly don't work too hard and make the kids help you.

Katie what do I do to visit your sight?

www.rasushi.org

That's it! :)

Neat web site Katie...I'll come on over tomorrow when I'm not a zombie.
