OT: Two Wolves | Arthritis Information

I saw this on one of the other boards i go to and wanted to share this w/ everyone.  I know its OT and it belongs elsewhere but it needs to be seen by everyone I believe.

TWO WOLVES

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a Battle that goes on inside people. He said, “My son, The battle is between the two ‘wolves’ inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, Greed, arrogance, self-pity, resentment, Inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, Serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, Empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute And then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf wins?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

Cherokee Wisdom

Remember everyone regardless of age, status or beliefs can perform a simple “random act of kindness” towards their fellow man. Thankfulness should be an action.

I like that. Thanks for sharing. Thanks Shannon, I loved it!!

Loved it and it's so true.

I'm part Cherokee and I love to read about our lores and legends. I have many strong beliefs and values from reading and learning about it. I haven't heard that one.

GOOD OT!!

Yes!  I grew up with this tale being told to me all of my life.  My grandfather told it to his kids, and of course my grandmother, and they made sure that I heard it often.  Thank you for the reminder.  I can still hear my grandmother repeating it to me on his behalf.

Im glad you guys like it..I saw it and w/ everything that has gone on w/ the board lately I thought it was perfectWhat a great story, and so true. Thanks for sharing. I had never heard that
before. Just bumping this up a bit, maybe some people didnt read it.  We must remember though we may not get along 100 percent of the time...can we all be civil w/ eachother?
