Well the vote was in........and from what I gathered everyone wanted this thread moved back to the main section. Apparently, there were a lot of people who would read our daily chats, and not really post. But they enjoyed it anyway. And now, it's too hard for them to find, and it gets bumped a lot. So here it is.....moved back to it's original home!

I have no idea why I'm still up at 1:30am...probably cause I'm still a little stuck on my overnight schedule. Oh well! I finally got pictures of 98% of my Alice collection! If anyone wants to see, its on my myspace page : http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.vi ewPicture&friendID=57445753&albumId=1461240

The only pics I don't have, is of things like my clothing, purses, linens, etc. I suppose I could figure out a way to get them documented as well. Hm.

Anywhos....we put up the christmas tree yesterday! We haven't decorated it yet, it's the kittens first christmas so we're testing her. LOL So far, she hasn't been that bad! I think we'll get to decorate by next week. Right now she's obsessed with sliding across the silky tree skirt, and sleeping under the tree. Hehe gotta love kittens!!

Hi Katie. What a wonderful collection! As I told you before, I think of you every time I see anything "Alice"

I will see if my husband can show me how to post pics. If so, I'll post my "hummingbird" collection. I do love those little guys. My daughters and husband have given me many, over the years. It's fun to have something to kind of find where ever you go.

Is "Alice" stuff hard to find? Your collection is great! By the time you're my age, you'll need a room just for them

I'm going to try to sleep again. Hope all is well.

Hugs, Nini

Katie - I like this thread back up here too.  Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving.  Gobble gobble.  Cathy

Awesome Alice collection Katie.  I love the teapot!

Goodmorning!!!  I am up cause my phone kept ringing at 6:30 this morning....of course I didnt answer it..it was a friend of mine, who eventually im'd me...She wants me to watch her 2 kids cause they have sinus infections...LIKE HELL ...sorry

Hope yall have a good day

Shannon~ 630 am phone call to ask if you'll watch her kids BECAUSE they're sick?  That annoys me just to hear about it.

I've got so much to do today, I'm giving myself a 1/2 hour to have coffee and unfuzz my brain and then I'll get started.

Another grey cold rainy day in Michigan.  I need some blue sky and sunshine.

Katie~ I tried to view your collection but the link didn't take me there.  Have a great day everybody!!  Oh, and I like this thread better here, I'm glad you moved it back!!

KMom, why would she think of you when her kids are sick??

Katie, I couldn't follow the the link, but I do have a myspace page. I'll try again later.

Things are ok for us here in CO. It's currently cold and snowy! We got about 3 inches last night and it's snowing again now.

The baby seems to be feeling better although he didn't sleep well last night at all. I dosed him with Motrin again this morning and he was on his way, doing what babies do.

We were able to pick up the Tamiflu last night. (I felt absolutely horrible all day yesterday with fevers and all.) I took my pill last night..... threw up a whole lot of nothing about 20mins later. I feel a whole lot better today though, which is good news!! My hubby took his pill this morning, hopefully he doesn't yack on his way to work.

We bought a small turkey and some fixings. This will be my first time ever cooking a Thanksgiving dinner. In the past I've always gone to the homes of my familia. It doesn't look too hard..... I'm going to do the best I can.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful and comfortable Wednesday!

Katie....I could not use the link either.  Just took me to myspace.  Will try again when I am cohearant.

Shannon~for gosh sakes now we wouldn't want the parents to actually have to parent now would we?!*rolls eyes a few times*  Honestly, some of the sweetest times I had with my kids is when they were sick.  I hate this *me* centeredness!

Link, I am so sorry about your son! That is so hard, and I wish I could just give you a hug.

So, there is snow on the ground in the desert!  We had about four inches, and are expecting about another inch!  I am happy, and even more happy that the change has taken place.  Still sore and incredibly tired, but I gotta get all my ducks in a row so I can start cooking today.

Thanks Katie, for moving the Daily Chatter back!

Nice to see the daily chat thread back here.  I don't post to it, but it can be enjoyable to read.

Linncn...sorry to hear that your son won't be home.  Huge disappointment for you, no doubt.

kelstev39407.3279050926

Mel, glad to hear the baby is feeling better.  It sucks that now your not feeling well.

Yea...she is ALWAYS like that too.  Her kids are always sick. But she still brings them to church or other functions when either they are sick or if she is sick.  I wouldnt mind so much if they had been on antibiotics for a couple days and wernt contageous but they woke up like this.  There was one time she came to a church function and she was really sick and antibiotics soposedly dont work for her.  Well why would you go out if your that sick?  I love her to death but she really aggravates me w/ that.  If I woudnt have to end up getting off my meds if I got sick I wouldnt care in all honesty. GRRRRR that is one of my biggest pet peaves.

Welcome home "Chat thread"

Cruddy about your son Link.

Shannon glad your feeling a little better. And you are correct it is not that hard so relax and enjoy your first turkey day cooking.

No school today Shelly?

yep, as a teacher and a parent it is very high on my list of pet peaves too.

Mel, so sorry to hear you are not feeling well.  Take care, and stay warm!

      Good Morning Friends!

I'm so happy to see the chat thread back here, I was having a terribly slow time navigating back and forth. Our website needs some work done it! Hint Hint Owner!

Link I could just cry for you, I know how excited you we're to see your son.

Hi Jay, Shelly,Shannon, Kel, and anyone else I missed! I am so jealous of your snow! It's so warm here I've had the air on!

Whens everyone putting up their Christmas tree? I hope to tomorrow.

Hope ya'll have a great Thanksgiving, don't worl too hard today

Oh and thanks Katie for moving us back here, hope you folks don't mind....Mel I'm glad the baby is feeling better and continues for you and hubby! You shouldn't be sick on a holiday....RA is bad enough to deal with.

Jaybird...No school til Monday.  Someone's gotta prepare this mighty feast that ends up on my table.  No, the kids have five days off starting today!  Love it!

Mona...I am glad for the snow, but our add on needs some 6 foot boy to get his rumpus outa bed and build me a fire, so my achy fingers will not freeze to death!

We will be putting our tree up on Saturday at 1pm.  We usually do it in the afternoon on Friday, but Eleya and Caleb's one year(dating) anniversary is Friday, so they will be together, and since she is my primary helper....I need her!

Thanks you guys.

OOH!! Christmas tree!?! I'm sooooo excited!! I love Christmas!! I put my garland, bows and lights out on the balcony earlier this week because I knew it was going to be downright chilly. The tree will go up tomorrow sometime. I just have a feeling keeping baby and kitty away from it is going to be a full-time job!! LOL

I don't know why, but it seems like these holidays are more real (for lack of a better word) for my hubby and I as a couple. I guess it's because last year around this time he was spending most of his time on OK city for training and I was super-uncomfortable fat pregnant. Haha! I'm so grateful for us being together.

Mel, that just makes me smile.  I actually have loved the Christmases now that the kids are older.  They actually sit and talk about some of the pranks I used to conceal gifts, and such.  I love this time of year, and am thankful for my adopted mom for making it a functional time rather than what I saw for the first twelve years of my life!

It gets sweeter every year!

Thanks you guys.  Both boys plus brand new DIL will be home for Christmas so I only have another month to wait.  It'll still be a great Thanksgiving.  Aside of my sister I didn't even tell anyone Alex would be here.  It was going to be a big happy surprize.  Maybe I just won't mention it now.

You guys with you're snow are making MI not seem so bad.  We're a little cold, but no snow.

Mel, it sounds like you'll have a very happy holiday.  And to those cooking Thanksgiving dinner for the first time, it's easy.  Just remember to take the guts out of the turkey BEFORE stuffing and roasting.  I know from my first cooking, that doesn't work out so well.

I did cancle my urologist appoint that was for Monday and rescheduled it for Jan sometime. Not ready to be scoped.

Let's see anything else.... nope.

Viva Revolution... LMAO!! Viva Viagra!! Now if we can just find some for FREE.

Thanks Katie for bringing the daily chat back home!! You rock girl!!

Hey Gale

Yep, I guess this proves once again, that the squeaky wheel really does get the grease!

Yep Gale you squeaky wheel!

Pammy the magnets story is hillarious! Shannon I think Kelsay has an iron defiency!

 I haven't seen them for a week or more...kinda worries me...hope they're ok.

Everybody may be cooking and getting ready for dinner tomorrow. I will be really busy Friday and Saturday, since we're eating Saturday.

Yeah, some people do have lives I guess.

I knew you would appreciate that.

How's my girls?

I'm doing good Karen. I felt pretty crappy last week, but after an increase in Prednisone, I'm good as new! BTW...why are you sore as hell. What the heck ya been doing??

Why are you sore? Did you have surgery and not tell anybody?

I have been shoveling out my cage, getting ready for Thanksgiving.  And boy did it need to be shoveled!  It was still a mess from Halloween.

I'm getting there - still have to vacuum 3 more rooms and clean one more bathroom, then I can quit for the night!

I'm sorry you ladies were so sick.  I hope you're fit as a fiddle now!

So what's on the menu at your house tomorrow, Gale?  Roasted pumpin stuffed with tofu?

OMG Pam thats a funny story, now.  Does he laugh about it now?   How old is he now?

How'd ya guess Karen? You're one smart turkey...I mean cookie!

Where did Mona run off to now?

We are having everything Saturday so Emma can be here...can't have Thanksgiving without her.

Shannon how is Kelsay? Do you have top examine her poop?

We're having our dinner late tomorrow (at 6:00 pm) because my daughter and her fiance are eating their first feast at his family's house and then coming here for a second one!  Poor kids they will be so full they won't be able to move!

We're having deep fryed rabbit and stuffed clams (we call them stuffies) for appetizers, then we're having turkey, old-fashioned bread stuffing with lots of sage (yum!), green beans, asparagus, butternut squash, mashed potatoes, salad and LOTS of GRAVY.  There's also zucchini bread and dinner rolls.

Deserts are pumpkin roll, pumpkin pie, apple pie, and Death By Chocolate.

Me thinks we'll be satisfied by then.  At least til it's time to pick some more!

Gale, I think you must be the tofu bitch my dear!!!!You lost me right off the bat with the deep fryed rabbit.

Deep fried rabbit??? Sounds yummy! Are you cooking everything Karen? Me and my sister are cooking together, we'll have 12 to 14.

No thanks my friend...I'll stick with your bisquick pumpkin pie recipe, thank you very much! No, I didn't hunt my turkey, though I could because we get wild turkeys in our yard often!  The bunnies came from the store too!So does bunny taste 'just like chicken'...as they say?? Be right back...phone callMy daughter is bringing the pumpkin roll and apple pie.  I'm making everything else!   There will just be 7 of us.And do you eat bunny with some sort of dipping sauce, or straight up?No, it is cut into small bites (like nugget size) and breaded before it's fried.  It's really crispy and oh so yummy!

You're lucky your daughter and soon to be SIL are going to both places tomorrow...even though that's A LOT of eating!

My daughter's spending Thanksgiving out in Palm Springs with her new in-laws.

This will be my first year ever without my kids.

Oh Gale, that's awful!  I'm so sorry!  I know the day will come for me too, the boys are soon to spread their wings and who knows what will happen then.

Are you visiting with anyone or going anywhere to help you get through the day?  I would be so sad!

Sorry guys, I've been in cyber space for a while.

Night Karen...have fun tomorrow and don't eat too much!

Gale have you been stuck too? I think all the "oxy" morons have bogged the board down!

My neice wasn't really pissy... just missed me

Sheesh are you guys in cyber space???

I have fluttering in my ears and a pain in my goins (groin)...I need help!Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

   Happy Thanksgiving Blessed.

Hey katie girl! Where you been tonight? Cooking all that Thanksgiving feast? How's Justin? Did he get some better pain meds? He did get better meds. They gave him MSCotin, and it's working like a charm. He and I went out and about today. First time we've gotten to do that in over a month! He didn't even get tired. It was REALLY good for him.

What are you guys doing for Thanksgiving? Have ya'll heard from his mom at all?

Yeah, she called...........she's been really stressed and hadn't told Justin, BUT they hadn't cleared her SSI or her insurance or ANY of her assistance (food stamps, rental assistance, etc etc) so she was litterally, living off her last dollar of savings! Well, it all cleared at once, and now she's okay. They even approved her to work 20 hrs a week, so she won't go stir crazy, and she has some cash for herself. She's thinking about coming to visit him while I'm up in WI. We'll see on that one.

Tomorrow we're going out to the hotel. We're gonna eat the dinner there, and get a room. I do have to work from 3pm-11pm, but that's not so bad. :) Oh, and the room and meal are free! Our boss loves us! Oh, and you guys, please please check out www.rasushi.org for me? It was a lot of hard work, and I'm REALLY proud of it. Me and Lizzie and Crunchy all put a lot of effort into it. It's a FULL community, and I think you'll like it. And it's not like you have to ditch AI, hell, I don't. I still come here on a daily basis. It would just mean a lot to me. :) Oh yea I looked at it last night...it's pretty...I was gonna do that today and I forgot! Sorry

Alright ladies, I'm gonna head out. hehe sorry I wasn't around much!

Hope everyone has a GREAT Turkey Day!!!

Love you all, and - for the thing I'm thankful for....

I am thankful for all of the friends I have that help me make it through the day! I couldn't do it without you!

 Good night Kaydid...love ya
