This isn't the only place i saw it, but it's a direct link to something as a form of proof.

But, I got my first shot almost 3 months ago and almost had no ounce of pain for almost a week and my husband and i thought it was something odd just happening.

But as i read more on it, it is an immune stopper as well.

I unfortunately have an odd inflammatory disorder that effects my lungs etc. and my uterus is a main target and my periods are so horrible i can't get out of bed and literally cry and make small screams until it is over.

So my doctor said i had to get this shot due to how bad they are and how they don't know why they are like this.

So far I am finally and i mean FINALLY doing ok with something.  I am normally the person who's body rejects something or gets all the side effects etc.  But instead of still bleeding for months, i stopped quickly on this and am doing soooooooo wonderfully well.

I just love not menstraul cycle :)

Some have trouble on it though, just like all things and you can spot bleed for the first 6 months, but as for someone who already stopped bleeding, it is just wonderful.

But, i thought you would like to know about the immune portion.

I hate treating my inflammation myself (currently telling doctors to give me prednisone, put myself on probiotics etc.), but if it works, it is wonderful.

I'm glad you've found something that brings you that muhc relief. That's wonderful news. i've been on the depo shot for 3 years now, i love love love the shot...and my gyno never mentioned anything about that effect! thanks for the article

I first had my cycle when i was 10 and it was immediately bad due to inflammation.  I missed 2-3 days of school every month and they always wanted to kick me out but i had a dr. note.

In High School it was bad, they told me they were going to kick me no matter what so i would spend hours in the nurses office to get credit for being at school.  (now you have to be in the classroom for credit instead of nurses office, so it wouldn't help me today).

But, it was bad, family members treated me bad, called me a liar saying i was skipping school.  My mom saw me first hand and knew how bad i was, my pains would sometimes make me pass out after due to being so tired.

I am now in my 30s and thanking God for this shot and hope i don't get side effects from it.  I begged my dr. to take my uterus out a couple years back during polyp surgery but she wouldn't.  This is good enough I guess :)
