Morning folks!!! So Im definitly feeling the effects of not having my Humira.  But my shipment is coming tomorrow so thats a good thing.  Not a whole lot planned for the day.  Have to take Kelsay to school this morning for picture re-takes.  Hopefully we'll have a better smile then the first one.  Also want to finish my bracelet and maybe start a new one.  Its easier then I thought it would be.  So now I only have to think of something to get my dad, my brother, and my grandfather.  Im gonna try and make a bracelet and necklace for my mom, dads gf, my sister inlaw and my grandma...HOPEFULLY at least LOL

Hope everyone has a great day.  Shelly, hope you are feeling better today!

It is colder outside then a witches tit!!!!

My hands are so stiff and swelled and have been since like 10pm last night. I cannot make a semi-closed fist on either hands and my fingers hurt to type.

Welp hope everyone has a good day and that a few of ya actually wake up on the right side of the bed today.... Katie

KM, Sorry you're out of your med. One day shouldn't be too bad though. I hope Kelsay's retakes come out awesome! I'm sure the first ones were fine though.

Joonie, the weather change hit you hard.

We got a light dusting of snow last night and the temp definitely dropped. I feel stiffer than usual and some joints are painful when bent, but haven't noticed any swelling - so that's a good thing.

Yeah it's cold here today too.  I know what you mean about stiff hands - I was loading the dishwasher this morning and my hand locked up and I dropped a plate!  But the fortunate thing was, if fell straight down and landed right in one of the slots for the plates in the dishwasher.  I don't know how I pulled that one off!

Hope everyone warms up and feels better as the day goes along.

Mel, no her first ones came out funny.. She has this weird look on her face and is half smiling.  I went to a bead store the next town over yesterday...OMG it was the coolest store, expensive, but i got the string i needed which wasnt to bad.  But there were some awesome beeds....Im going to a craft store after Kelsays pictures to get some more beeds...YAYGood morning all. I hope you all are feeling well. Sounds like some stiff
appendages going on this morning. Shannon, I love to bead. Have you ever
seen the bead magazine called Stringing? Very kewl magazine with alot of
ideas, not lots of advertisements.   I have NO kitchen sink. I'm having to do
dishes in the laundry room.   My house is full of rock dust. I have to literally
clean every wall and surface in my house today. What a drag. This remodel
is coming to a close so that will be nice.Morning everyone!  I actually feel pretty good today-- I took a sick day yesterday because I was running a fever inspite of my meds and feeling stiff, so today when I woke up feeling only marginally stiff I was excited. :)  I love homemade Christmas presents, but I've never done jewelry.  All through college I gave pottery and homemade ornaments as presents since that's all we could afford. ;)

Good morning!  Day off today, think I will go shopping for my dress for my son's wedding reception.  It's only weeks away now.  It seemed so far when we first started planning, how did it sneak up so quickly???

Lori...when will they be finished installing your new counter tops?  Did you say you're doing the cabinets as well?  It doesn't matter how much plastic they hang, dust gets EVERYWHERE doesn't it?

Shannon, my daughter had to do the retake too.  Her first came out looking quite bizarre.  The second one was nice though.

Kelsey will do fine with her pictures!  Take care of yourself 'cause I am still worried about this fevered pace!

Joonie~stinky pooey!  When is your infusion?  Are you calling and how is that all coming?

Lori~counter pictures please!!!

Karen~only you could drop a plate into the dishwasher and have such good results.  I wish I had a quarter for all the things I have dropped lately.  I cannot even yell at the kids for dropping and breaking dishes, 'cause it is usually me!

Link~Have fun shopping.  I can't wait to see the pictures.  Take care and rest some today there is a lot of crappy things going around.

Me~my tummy is finally doing ok.  Still have a temp of 100.2.  I woke up and it was down, but now it is up first thing this am.  Very strange for me, because I run about 96.6.  Well, this will end my message today, and I really need it.  My joints are hating me, but loving the sleep!

I DID wake up on the right side of the bed!! LOL

We took Justin to the ER last night. DON'T PANIC!!! He was just having some extra pains, and we were nervous. He was really hurting. They gave him a boost of pain meds, and did a scan. The doc said there is some irritation, but it is still healing inside. Basically said sorry, but that's surgery pain and healing for ya. LOL So he's to watch what he eats a little closer for a couple of days, and he has some loratabs for his breakthrough pain. Poor guy. But he has an appt with the surgeon today, so that's good. It was really reassuring to have that CT done last night, and to find out that everything looks good. :)
Katie, Im sorry that Justin is in pain again, though im glad that its what is normal from the surgery.  Let us know what the surgen says about it all.  Is he still on the same time frame to go back to work?Yeah, so far he's still gonna go back this weekend. We'll see. I'm not gonna rush him. The ER doc said some of his pain was trapped gas. It's just more sore because it's still healing inside. KIWM? He'll be alright. :) He's a lot more relaxed since they did that CT. SO AM I!  OK so to keep w/ my me being stupid today...whats KWIM mean

KWIM=Know What I mean

Katie~gosh, I did lose my heart for a moment.  I am glad it is just healing pain, and not more!  How's the back?

Ok, so now I am back to temperature ville with 100.2, which is making me very warm compared to my 96.6.  I give up...I will have Christmas boxes in my living room until January!  At least the tree is done!

I see everyone has already been here and gone, today I have my Remicade and don't really need to go to town for anything else except milk. I hate driving that far and not getting at least half a dozen things done. Well I do have some refills at the pharmacy to pick up, but they're not for me. I started decorating the house yesterday and would rather stay home and do that.

Kept up with the Roxy Chronicles while I was at my mom's for Thanksgiving. Her computer is back by the bathroom in the tv room and she and dh were watching a movie I'd already seen. I heard her ask DH, is she always on the toilet for sooooo long? Geez, she's going to be 83 in a couple days, guess you never get over being a mom.

Good afternoon all:

Glad to hear that there are more crafters out there.  I love making things to give to  people.  This year I cross-stitched little trees with the PEACE under them.  I am now using the tons of scrapbooking materials that I have collected (and I don't even scrapbook) to make them into cards for a few people.   Okay 20 of them.  With the new Humira kinda' kicking in, I have actually felt like doing my cross stitch.  It has been so relaxing.

Hope everyone is having a good day.  I am at work and probably should actually do a few work related things before long.

I called first thing Monday and well... Wanda said she has not received anything on my PA's, she even went and checked the mail that just came in and nothing. So... I sit and wait. It is all because it happened around the holiday... everything is slowed down by the holidays! I swear!

I go back to RD, Dec 4th, but only for a 2 month check-up was for to see how I was doing on Remicade LMAO! Yeah... wonder if she will try to say better she got to see me a 2nd time before starting me on Remicade?

Hope you feel better, Shelly... sounds like a flare and usually the only good thing for that is SLEEP & Rest!

Thanks for the Laugh, deidre!

Hope the infusion went well and you are resting now.

Hope your stomach settles down soon and get some rest

Enjoy your crafting Andrea and Shannon!  I love doing things like that - it really is therapy.

Glad you were able to keep up with things while you were at your mom's, Deirdre!  We all need our daily dose of AI!  Sneaky way to do it, though, making your mom think you were in the bathroom.

Hands feeling any better now Joonie?  Hope the creakies have passed!

Left hand much better can make a fist, but the right hand is still swelled and not able to make a fist still. But fingers do not look as swelled. So... I am ok with that OMG Deirdre! That is HILARIOUS!!!!

Link!? I hope you found a dress on your first time a hunting. I hate when I have to hunt and hunt and hunt and then just settle for whatever fits me.

I am off to color with my son, or so I think... maybe I can grip the fat crayons with my right hand, if not I will just watch him color.

Oh and I just remembered about my hot chocolate I made like an hour ago, guess I need to go re-heat it and remember to drink it this time around

TTYL

Joonie~nope, no dress today.  Looks like it's 12 Oakes on Saturday

   Afternoon Folks!

How is everyone this evening? Hope all is well.

I have two words to describe me....ovarian cyst.

I have a TMI  question for us all "older" ladies.....I haven't had a period in almost 2 yrs,  (yea!)...my mother, aunts and sisters have early menapauses...all done and over before fifty. My gyno thinks I was a little young (did hormonal panel twice) but had no problems. No female probs for me for these almost 2 years....so...my question is....how can you have a cyst if you don't ovulate? I haven't had one in at least 5 years, but pain in my lower right side feels exactly like a cyst on my ovary.

I have a GP appt tomorrow.  My feet are killing me,  I've been told its plantar fasciitis from heel spurs but the pain is not in the right place.  I've been told its just the RA,  but its much more like tendon pain that joint pain.  The swelling is taking up the front part of the arch of my foot, I've tried insoles and my feet hurt more now that before.  I'm going to ask for a CT or ultrasound as the x-ray didn't show up any reason for the pain.

I talked to my mum yesterday for almost an hour.  She got the necklace I made her and loved it

I'm going to buy myself a pair of 'good' support shoes today.  Its something I soo don't want to do.  I live in bare feet and flip flops and open sandals.  All I can think of is hot, sweaty feet all summer.  I guess I'm also just a teeny bit vain
