Morning folks! So ive been up since 4am, not because I wanted to at all but becauase the phone rang. And when the phone rings at 4am its not someone looking to chit chat.. Hubbys bestfriend called and said he was driving to IN to pick up another friend of ours cause his wife and him split up and she took their son.....So now the drama begins...im NOT in the mood for MORE drama

Morning Shannon. I know what you mean about the phone ringing at terrible hours. I used to stress when it rang in the middle of the night, but it usually ended up being my mother stuffing up the time zones again between Toronto and Melbourne
Our doctors here in Australia I'm sure get kickbacks from drug co.s but often the reason they go on trips is that the conferences are informative. Doctors here have to accumulate points every year to keep up their licensing. The conferences and things that they attend contribute to these points. If they get a bit of a weekend away while they get their points so be it. I know that he prescribes different things for different people, not everyone responds to the same drug, I don't see evidence that he (over)prescribes any particular medication. I know my doctor deserves a break once in a while. He works 60 hours a week in his surgery, (I was there till 9:30 Thursday night) then does home visits and hours of paperwork. He uses the samples that he gets to give to patients to start them on new meds to see how they work, so they don't have to buy a full script and find out it doesn't work. He also gives them out to folks he knows have $$$ problems.
I'm off for the next 10 days and having surgery on Monday. I saw my GP today and will have to put up with my sore feet til I see my Rheumy on Friday.
Ok... so... Friday just snuck up on me. Yeah... not like anything important happens on Fridays for me, but still I would liked to have been told it was Friday like a day or 2 ago.
I was laying there trying to go back to sleep after daughter left for school and realized it was friday. I did not sign her reading log, because I used up all of my finger power signing and filling in blanks on another sheet of paper she did not give to me until this morning. I asked her why I did not see it she said because she had it with the other paper while she was drawing. Yeah...
Anyways...
I think I am going to try to make brownies today, too bad we do not have walnuts, but hubby does not like nutz in his brownies.
My right shoulder is MUCH better today. I can actually move my arm around without PAIN and it is not limited. I do not feel any swelling in my shoulder like I was so... brownie making here I come!

Well the brwonies turned out pretty DARN good, if I may say so myself. I had no major mishaps like burning myself, dropping the brownies on the ground or even egg shells in with the mix! I done quite good!

Called RD's office some time this week, I think it was Tuesday and well... no, they have not gotten anything back from the insurance company yet.

Thanks Joonie, poopies is right! lol...has anybody heard from Gale? Last time I talked to her several days ago she was having a fit out of a flare in her feet. Poor thing.

I am telling ya... yesterday I cannot remember for the life of me. I just totally skipped over Thursday
Izzybelle my 13 month old started having bloody diarreah a couple days ago. I've only had the new pup less than a week and was afraid it was some deadly kennel disease he had brought in.
So the vet did tests, stool samples and stuff and it all came back this morning negative...both dogs were tested...she was afraid it was Parvo. Thankfully it wasn't bacterial, parasitic, or viral. No fevers either.
Conclusion was stress and anxiety over the new puppy which caused colitis. So now Izzybelle is on Flagyl and Reglan to soothe her tummy, Max the puppy had two shots, and both were pronounced in perfect health! Yay!. Izzy has to eat bland for 48 hrs....baby food meat, rice with chicken broth, and baby food chicken sticks.
