My RD just prescribed me Lyrica.

Has anyone had success with this drug yet????

My RD also wants me to start doing stretching. I guess I will buy a yoga dvd and see if that will help. Any good suggestions???

Im in so much pain today I cant hardly think straight. Sorry if this doesnt make much sense.

Good luck with the Lyrica.  I don't have fibro so I haven't tried it.

I used to do pilates and I liked it alot.  I used the Caribean Workout pilates series.  It was kind of advanced though-- I did it after I'd taken a basic class at the college I was going to.
amber39416.4131018519Hey Mo3...can't answer your questions, but I sure hope the new med works for you.  I think yoga is an excellent idea.  I know their are yoga programs on dvd specifically designed for individuals with RA.  Google it, you'll find something, I'm sure. to go along with the book.  I don't have the DVD, but I do have the book.  It's wonderful.

Thank you all for the info!!

Let us know how it goes! i just started also...actually 7 days ago...i started on 25mg at night only and am increasing by 25mg every 3 days trying to work up to 150. SO far it hasnt made me too tired or anything, i did 75 for first time yesterday

good luck! hope it goes well

mo3, I have been successfully taking Lyrica for a long time now.  I hope it works well for you!  Sleepiness or feeling out of it is one of the side effects, but it is temporary so if you can wait it out, it's worth it.  If you have a lot of trouble, ask the dr if you can start on a lower dose and build up gradually.  Also, I didn't notice any weight gain related to Lyrica.  Good luck with it!

Again GOOD LUCK, and I am glad for you.

Karen

BTW, I'm now on 150 mg twice a day, so if it's helping, but not quite enough, you can increase the dosage later.

Oh thanks for the info again. I hope it works well for me especially if I can get one good nights rest without waking up in pain
