i have read a lot of people here talk about brain fog, i think this might be happening to me. i'll be in the middle of a sentence and just stop and have no idea what i was about to say. it happens quite frequently and i'm not sure if it is because of meds or generally ra. what do you all think? also how many of you have this problem (or a similear one)?

thanks for the replys

I do it all the time, more so when I have a lot of inflammation.

It just sucks and my hubby gets upset with me because I forget what I was going to say after I started. But that is life.

I HATE it when I think of something I am going to do and then all of a sudden for the life of me forget what it was. I have went days trying to remember what it was I was going to do, and have actually walked around the house trying to see if anything would help me to remember, but last time I just totally forgot and have yet to remember.

Just like today... I lost track of the week. Last I remembered it was Wednesday, and now here it is Friday... somewhere, somehow... I missed Thursday. I guess I missed yesterday because I was not feeling well and just mooped about and afte hubby got home from work I went and took a pain pill and laid down. But still... do not even know how the week got away from me.

I found this information here to be very helpful to me. I thought it was my age all this time. It gives me hope that this can improve!Hi Jessica. Oh boy. Unfortunately for me, there are many reasons for my brain fog. Menopause, meds, ra, hypothyroidism and what I think is probably fibromyalgia. I'm so used to it that now I except it and try to go with the flow. It use to be so upsetting to me that I'd forget what I was talking about in the middle of a sentence, or couldn't remember the ending of a book I just finished, or any number of little things. Now I try not to be so hard on myself. I think it's pretty common in people with RA and related illnessess.

JESSICA, THE SAME THING HAPPENS TO ME I DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IT IS FROM THE MEDS OR THE RA BUT I WASN'T LIKE THIS BEFORE THE RA.

THANK YOU FOR THE QUESTION IT HELPS I DON'T FEEL LIKE I AM GOING CRAZY WITH ALL THIS NEW STUFF HAPPENING TO ME.

HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL NIGHT.

Personally, I don't remember having this problem until after starting MTX and Enbrel. I'll ask my RD at my next visit.... if I don't forget.

Hope you're having a great and comfortable weekend!

For me, I'm not sure if it's RA,meds, age or menopause.

The other day I was telling my husband I wanted to make a hashbrown casserole.  So we were sitting at the kitchen table and I was making out a list of things I needed to buy in order to make the hashbrown casserole.  So I said to my husband..."what are those things in the bag I use to make the hashbrown casserole?"  ( I just couldn't think of the name) He looks at me like I have 3 heads.  I ask him again..."you know...those things I use in the bag for the hashbrown casserole"...He looks at me and says..."Ummm hashbrowns??"  OMG the two of us almost died laughing after that.

The worst for me lately though is finding my van in the mall parking lot.
