Well it is the first of December already..Where has this year gone?  I dont have much going on today, just have to transfer a bunch of stuff onto the new computer from the old one.  Thankfully I got one of those usb thingys that you can put stuff on...it'll make this whole process much easier.  Then I have to clean up my computer cause a guy DH works w/ is going to come by and take it....oh yay

Hope yall have a wonderful day!  Oh and can someone explain to me the big difference between Vista and XP?  So far i dont see any.

I know, it's amazing that the year is almost gone.  Today my dad's coming in from Edmonton (via Florida) for a week long visit.  I'm waiting for the coffee to drip and then I'll get my day started.  Just doing some decorating, and then homework for me today.

Not sure about the differences between Vista and Xp - but my computer geek son says stay away from Vista.  Actually he says stay away from anything Bill Gates makes - keeps trying to push the Linnux on me with Firefox and stuff.  Make sure you delete your cache memory!

Have a great one, and if you're in Canada like me - stay warm!

Had a nice day.  Started to clean out my craft room and put a bunch of stuff on freecycle.....it ALL got taken!!!!!!!YAY

I started the memorial albums for my 2 cousins for Christmas.  All the photos are printed and have done about 4-5 pages in the first book.  I just have to write out the bio that I have downloaded from my mothers memory and add it to the pages.

After stopping all my meds I am blowing up like a balloon,  feet are the worst but hips and groins are sore too and left hand.  I ache all over.   I'm about to turn the electric blankie on and crawl into bed.   And to top it all off I'm getting ANOTHER cold with just a day to go til surgery.  Hopefully I can fake it and look healthy.  I'll take lots of demazin tonight and tomorrow and hope that works.

Im not in Canada but I sure feel like it...Its COLD today.  We are soposed to get snow.  Soposedly 1-3 in but IL forcasters cant forcast for nothin lol.
Pam~ I LOVE freecycle!!  I have gotten rid of so much stuff and Ive also recieved so much.  Ive gotten clothes for Kelsay, her Christmas shoes for this year, and a TON of moving boxes for my move this month.  It is such a great concept.

I can't believe how easy it is to get rid of stuff on freecycle.  Within a couple of hours I was relieved of 2 kitchen bin bags of ods and ends of wool, 8 x 3 metre strands of garland,  3 cotton bags, and a painters easel!  And I didn't have to do anything!

Right now I wish I could sleep.  This insomnia stuff is driving me insane.  Dead tired, go tp bed, do a crossword, fall asleep for an hour and now....its 2:30 am and I'm up again

Hope you all have a wonderful first day of Dec.

I have vista.  Cheap computer but at least it is a computer.  BTW I hate vista.

go to freecycle.org (i believe its org) and you can sign up for towns or countys in your area and people post via email things that they are in no longer need of and if you want it you email them back.  You can also post things that you are looking for.  The idea is for things to be reused if there is still use for them.  WHat they dont want you to do is ask for "luxeury (sp?) items" ie: cars, etc

Its a really great idea that they have going on w/ it

I love freecycle, a great idea.  I am going to give away my Christmas stuff after this year, its my last year I will be able to decorate.

I am not looking forward to decorating. I have not even pushed hubby about doing it. Just do not feel in the holiday spirit, I guess. Besides it runs up the electric bill.

Nothing on my agenda, except going over in-laws for dinner and then coming home and resting. I feel drained of even more of my energy the last few days, but then again... I also just bumped back down to 10mg of pred a few days back too.

Oh well...

Hope everyone has a good day. dude its freakin snowing out...dont they know I HATE snow?If you were a gamer, I'd say take XP. If you're artsy fartsy, take Vista. If you just wanna play on the computer like a normal person......well if you've ever had XP, you probably want to stick with it for comfort's sake. If you've never had either, might as well indulge in the purdyness of Vista. Well when we went to go buy a new one all of the had vista so i didnt really have a choice in that one but i do like vista so far...just have to keep playing w/ it I guess.Yeah Vista is the new thing. We had a hell of a time finding this computer, with only XP on it. The perk was that BECAUSE it had XP, it was on sale!! yea well mine was on sale too AND i got a free printer OMG We have a printer. But the cartridges cost THE SAME AS THE PRINTER......so we haven't bought any. Hah! Its so stupid. walgreens refills them for pretty cheep..you should try themLazy evening here... the weather outside is frightful!!!  Actually it's getting a bit warmer now, so everything's not a total sheet of ice.  I just got back from a harrowing expedition the next town over.  It was Dinner with the Girls - we haven't gotten together for a few months, and of course we schedule it on the first snow/sleet storm of the season

Jasmine I wouldn't even attempt to drive on ice. You sure are a brave one!

I want snow! It was 65 degress here today.

Hubby bought me ink today for my printer and it was almost .00. My printer was on sale for .99 Oh my!  When I had an inkjet, I got big bottles of ink from some online place, and had one of my nurse friends get me several big syringes.  You have to inject the cartridges to refill them. I could fill a cartridge several times before it finally started printing badly; the ink cost me about for an 8-ounce bottle.  I still have some, but no longer have an inkjet printer!  Those ink bottles are probably all dried up now. JasmineRain39417.8415393519

What do you use now Jasmine? Not ink?

Edit for spellingI have a small black-n-white laser.  Cost two years ago, and still on the first toner it came with.  Replacement toners are , and I still have the one that I bought with the printer.  I print alot of text, so it's the most cost-effective option.  Plus it doesn't clog.

Well I got this printer last Christmas. My daughter borrowed it and ran all the ink out but didn't get anymore.

It has some COOL STUFF going on there!

Oh Darrel, daughter will get her Nintendo DS for Christmas, but I am not telling her that. If we did not buy it for her MIL would have. And well... frankly I am tried of being the mean one and Granny getting all the "glory". So... I made hubby buy it and told him it could be half my present too. You know so we could use the money he was going to use for my present and put it towards hers. It is a bit pricey.

Oh and MIL did find my Kingdom Hearts game, but I still rub it in with daughter because I told her to leave my games alone and she did not. Her response is "I found it." My response is "You lost it, and Granny found it. So you are crap outta luck!"

But hubby will still buy me something for christmas, even though I told him not to. He is just that way. He will buy EVERYONE something. I am trying to get off cheap this year, because I know we do not have the money, but hubby thinks he needs to buy everyone something nice.

The Liberator wedge.... now that sounds like something we can all benefit from

Oh and it comes with a 100-page position guide!!! Now we are talking!!

Oh and i was stuck watching FOOTBALLL again tonight.

I think football is evil, because it is so violent. I mean spearing someone and making them do a summersault in the air is well... VIOLENT!
