I was wondering does anyone elses leg fall asleep as soon as you sit down on the turdlet? My right leg since it has been acting up and all every time I sit down on the turdlet to tinkle... it falls asleep or like it is trying to fall asleep. I mean as soon as I sit down. As soon as my butt hits the seat my leg tries to go to sleep or feels like it is.

Sounds like it's pressing a nerve Joonie. Mine fall asleep a lot...I hate that! I bout fall when I hobble up.

I know TMI! LOL

That is what the feeling is Cindee! Tingles! Like they are trying to fall asleep tingle. Thanks for the descriptive word!

We use Scott... you know 1000 sheets per roll. 4 rolls last us a month.

Hubby says Scott TP is like John Wayne ... rough, tuff and does not take sh*t off anyone. But he is the one who chose that TP.

Good thing I am going back to RD in 3 days. I will tell her about it this time. That is Fo' Sho'!

I think it has something to do with my right leg, like you say. Maybe a pinched nerve, but how would they be able to tell?

Joonie remember a couple months ago I had that. It was from my butt cheek around to my groin and traveled down to my toe? I fell with flip flops on chasing the dog and my neighbor saw me. But went back inside.

CinDee my feet won't sit flat when I'm on the toilet...have to tip toe.

Flexeril usually works for me but knocks me out. I ran out and have to wait until Dec something. I was only prescribed one a day and most days that didn't cut it. They only last for 4-6 hours.

Joonie, write that one down and ask dr when you go in a few days. I'd like to hear what he says. It sounds alot like my same thing going on.

Ok thanks for the suggestion, Cindee. I will be sure to tell my Rd about my hip, I do not want anymore visits to the ER.

Mo'Nana - Yeah, I remember your wet grass splits and mean neighbor. Tsk tsk! No, I did not injure it. My hip did feel like it popped outta joint a few months back, that was horrid pain. So maybe that caused it. Would not be the first time my hip popped outta joint. It has done like 3 times since I was a kid. Talk about pain! UGH!

Sorry I was gone....lost cable for a while. Hi Joonie, yes this happens to me too, first of all my left foot goes to sleep and then it spreads to my leg, I have degenerative disc diseaseall through my spine and its the Lumbar spine problems that causes the sciatic nerve to become trapped and this causes referred pain to buttock, legs and feet if bad enough.  I worked in radiology and my Dr told me this is not a good sign and make sure I get it seen to, so I ended up having a laminectomy as mine was at the point where I could not stand up, the pain we are experiencing now can be relieved by anti-inflammatories, if you can take them (I can't), they reduce swelling which in turn relieves the nerve pain.  I am on endep for the nerve pain and I was on Neurontin but it has made me gain too much weight, if yours is really bad then you need a CT Scan and then probably an MRI.  Physiotherapy can help also, hope this helps, Janie.XX

Thats exactly what has been happening to me recently.  It really bugs me because I tend to spend so much time on the loo with all my issues. As soon as I sit down the pins and needles start, but only on the loo, not chairs or anything else.

Weird

Which brings me to another reason why it must be a pinched nerve, and one that only pinches when (how to say this?) you are sitting on an...open space?  Because you sit at your computer with no troubles, right?

Yea I think its a pinched nerve as well.  I would definitly bring it up to your Dr when you see her.  You dont want that going on for a long time and becoming into something worse.

Yep, suzanne ... only on the turdlet. No where else. It is werid I tell ya.

Welp... need to work on my list again.

Not weird: anatomical. As has been suggested, it is the open space below the os ischii and the pressure point on the femur. It is much more common than would be expected, even in folks without AI issues.

Sometimes a padded and/or soft toilet seat can alleviate part of the problem and sometimes a toilet extension can help.

Or not.
