2nd infusion - aaaggghhhhhh | Arthritis Information

Hi guys, well I got the go-ahead for the second infusion this Wednesday at 10am, except this time they will give me premeds, to stop an anaphylactic reaction happening again.  I really am hoping this will work without problems this time, although the side effects were troublesome but I hope they will wear off.  Hope you all have a great day and as little pain as possible!  Hugs Janie.XX Hopefully this'll work, and the side effects will start to wear off the more infusions you have. I'd cross my fingers for you...but yeah, ya know. No Katie, I think you should try harder to cross your fingers, come on anyone would think there was something wrong with your hands!!!!  Thanks a lot girlie, appreciate the post, love Janie.XX

Janie, I hope everything goes well this time. I can't even imagine how frightening that reaction was last time!

You will be in my thoughts on Wednesday. Just try not to worry to much. The premeds and their awareness of potential problems should help to make everything go smoothly.

You have a great day, too. I hope everything else is going well for you.

Big, gentle hugs, Nini

Hi Janie, please excuse my ignorance, what is this infusion treatment? Not heard of it this side of the pond. Good luck, will think about you on Wed.

Dee

Good luck Janie.  Let us know how it went
Hi Dee, it is called Orencia in Aus and is aka Abatacept, google it and it will tell you better than I can.  It is relatively new, and your UK papers recently stated that UK people could not get it as it was too expensive re; the government!!!  Thanks for your kind thoughts, Janie.
