elbow ultrasound results! | Arthritis Information

Hi guys, I just had an ultrasound on my left elbow, it was suspected to be the bursa, but the tendon and the bursa didn't look too bad, the radiologist told me the pain must be coming from the joint itself????  He said GPs are always sending people for these injections not realising the danger of tendon rupture especially in an RA patient, so I have to grin and bear it.  This is a new radiology practice, the other place never used to question it.  So if its in the joint, my thoughts were that they could inject into the joint, I am sure I have had that done to my wrist - any ideas???  Regards Janie.

Ew! Neat! I didn't know they could do ultra sounds on body parts like that! (now that I think about it, that's a pretty stupid assumption to make, really.....

What injection are they doing? I mean, if there's no problem with your tendons...why are they hesitating? I'm confused. Hi Katie, they were only going to do a steroid shot if the tendon or bursa showed a problem like swelling or inflammation, and as there was'nt any, no injection!  Janie.

PPPPPfffffftttttt

But people get steroid injections in their joints all the time. What is your doctor smoking?

Dunno - but maybe he could share it!!!!  Thanks Katie.
