If you are worried, you can ask your Rheumy to order x-rays. I am going for mine in early Sept. I am getting them done on my hands and ankles.

Quick question. I'm still dealing with a bad flare.
Tomorrow is the day I take mtx, remicade on 9/23
and pred 7.5/day.
Anyway was wondering if when flaring and swollen
does that mean that there is damage occuring to
joints even though taking meds? Just curious.

Funny--I asked my rheumy's nurse the same question today, as I had to pump up the pred for a flare. She said no--only if the inflammation remains for a long time with no treatment to calm it.OHHHH!! That explains why my knee has been worst off since that month long flare!! Probably should have pumped up the pred.
