I was setting up some shots of teddy bears as a get well wish post card for those that were not doing to well.
The dog just had to get into the act.

Things weren't going to well for me when my daughter presented us with a black fur ball.
I have to say that this dog has helped me enormously in times of difficulties. Buddy has bought some life back into me that I thought would never return..
In a way I look upon my daughter and this dog as a gift from the angels, a little message of love.

Sorry if this seems OT but for those that enjoy animals and do not have one, I'd suggest maybe thinking of a little companion.
I'm a bit of a sook and it is just comforting to have a buddy beside you on the bed when things aren't going smoothly.

Meet Buddy, a ten month old Toy Poodle.

Yes, I think many of us have found joy and comfort in our 4-legged companions!   Buddy looks cute but also up to any mischief he can get into

Our four legged friend will be staying with us for a week. Whenever my girl friend visits her daughter my hubbie and I get to look after Keeper. Last Feb. this little "pup" stayed by my side when I was ill with the flu. She'd touch me with her paws to see if I was alright and the only time she moved from my side was when she needed to go outside.

I'm glad to hear that your Buddy has brought you so much joy and love.

Beautiful shot, Stephen and what a gorgeous but mischief making furry friend you have there.

I think our furry four legged friends are so good for us health and well being wise.

We have a tortishell cat called Cupcake. She is so lovely to curl up with and have a good nap with, epecially when Neve is away Cuppy and I chill out napping together. Nothing like being woken up by a furry thing sitting on your chest purring like a turbo charged power boat.

At night she watches tv with me and it is so lovely to have a soft, warm friend to pat. She is so good for me. I agree, I have a long haired chiuhuahua, called Alfie, he is so loving and almost humanlike in his ways, he even poops in the toliet on the floor if he can't make it outside in time!!!!  Considerate puppy, tiles are easier to clean than carpet!!! Your little guy is adorable.  I have a pug and I don't know how I ever did without his antics and his affection.  It's amazing how much they help.

Buddy is adorable--oops, I mean incredibly tuff looking (my son tells me even little guys don't want to be 'adorable').

I have two full labs (about 100lbs each) who believe that they are in fact 5lb lap puppies.  They are wonderful feet warmers--once they lay on your feet they are out for a the evening.  And when I am feeling less than wonderful, they are always right beside me.  Leaning against the couch where I am laying and just keeping an eye on me.  Nothing like trying to fall asleep with four large brown eyes looking into yours.  They also have cornered the market on making sure no rogue UPS or FedEx trucks come into the yard.  They can hear them coming from two blocks away and go nuts.  I wouldn't trade 'the boys' for anything.

Stephen~  I have a Golden Retriever named Charlie and he is one of my best friends!  When I was down before my RA meds, he stuck by my side and would just sit with me. All day.  Day after day.  I love that fur brain so much, he is absolutley been a blessing to me.  Great thread, i'm glad you started it.

Oh, and Buddy's a cute little guy.  Glad you have him

Have a good day!

Buddy's a cutie!Buddy's adorable!  I grew up with a grey tiny toy poodle named Joy...they're wonderful dogs!  Now, my fiancee and I have our 10 month old beagle named Annabelle...she makes life so much richer :-). Dog's can make anybodys Bad day Good even if for a little whileThanks for sharing the photo.  Too cute! I don't have animals since I have fairly severe asthma and allergies.  Besides 6 kids is enough to take care of.  When they are gone, I might think of getting a poodle.  I hear they are ok for people with allergies.  Anyone else know about that?  Our youngest is 15 so it will be awhile. I am pleased that so many can find comfort with an animal, be it cat or dog.
I've always been a big dog man and swore that I would never have a prissy little lap dog.
I have changed my mind and can now use the word love in reference to Buddy.

When setting up the shots of the teddy bears Buddy just plain thought it was play time.
Normally this would have got up my nose but instead I just had to be patient and allow my self to enjoy the moment, he was having a ball and all I could do was to sit and watch with a big grin on my face.

I'll have more to say about the angels that walk amongst us, stand beside us, and are always there if we allow ourselves to see them.

That's for another day.

Best wishes.
I hear they are ok for people with allergies.  Anyone else know about that?  Our youngest is 15 so it will be awhile.
Yes that is correct but keep in mind, their dog hair is like that of sheep and needs to be clipped every six weeks.
It just keeps on growing.
Schnauzers are also good for people with allergies.  LoL DON'T get a pug. . . the hair is everywhere :) Great shot of buddy!!  Yes, dogs can bring so much joy and love.  I have a 2 year old shih tzu and a 1.5 year old shih poo, both are about 10 pounds.  Since I can not have children, they are my babies!  They even go to work with me everyday!

Both poodles and shih tzu have hair, not fur, so both are good for allergies and neither one sheds!!
Thank all for the info.  I have very curly hair that needs to be clipped every 6 weeks to. That would be easy to remember!
