Pity party, wanna come? | Arthritis Information

Well so much for the remission the doc told me I was in. That was short-lived. I think it's a combination of this blasted cold weather (20's and WINDY) and just trying to get too much done for Christmas. Now my shoulder, knuckles and ankle are throbbing. This plus the lovely shade of pale gray from the Reynaud's on my hands and feet. I haven't posted much lately so I don't expect replies to this. I just feel that you all know what it feels like to be me today. I just want to put on my sweats and make a fire in the fireplace but I can't because dear husband is on a business trip and daughter has dance class tonight till 9:15pm. Blech

The one positive in this is that this struck me after I got all my Christmas shopping done and wrapped. This weekend we are doing the tree and the front yard decorations but I will leave that to husband and kids. I'll supervise from the window

Good for you though on getting that done.  I hope your pain is minimul and your christmas great.

Hi, Honey! I'm sorry to hear you're having such a rough time right now. I'm glad to hear you were able to get all your Christmas shopping done and wrapped. Wrapping... sheesh! I did that yesterday and let's just say they're "creatively" wrapped. Heck, it's all gonna get ripped to shreds anyways, right?

You know what I think? Save the housekeeping for manana. It's still gonna be there, right? Take some time for yourself. Some stretching followed by a hot bath. Then jump in those sweats and roast by the fire while reading a good book.

I'm sure you'll be an awesome supervisor while the rest of the fam puts up the decorations this weekend. And, hey, you can have the hot chocolate waiting for them when they get done. Don't forget to turn up the Christmas music!

Hope you have a superfantastic day and get to feeling better!

And don't forget to call yourself the 'Director'.  It's your 'vision' that makes everything so merry!

Hugs,

Pip

I'm sorry you're not feeling well.  I think you deserve some "me" time.  Take it.  You've earned it.  Well, husband called and talked me into not stressing about taking daughter to dance tonight. I don't know why I feel guilty but I do. She wasn't too disappointed. I am in my sweats as I write. Not feeling too much better but at least I can lay in bed early. Thank you everyone.

Sorry, to hear it Honey. I wished it would have lasted longer for you. But look at it another way... you might go back into remission if it was drug induced, there's no saying it cannot happen.

Oh and good job on getting the christmas shopping done and wrapped. You are ahead of the game.

Feel better soon!

I'm sorry you're not feeling well. An early night should be good for you. This year it's very little wrapping for me, mostly gift cards, except for a few toys for Button. I don't know how I did it all those Christmases with 5 boys. Oh yea, I didn't have RA then.

Bless all you moms with young children to look after.

Feel better Honey.

Here's a cake full of sugar :)

The cold here is killing me, so much pain, i am almost done shopping, just a couple more people.

I dread having to wrap gifts.  Hurts so much, sit this long, stand that long, rinse and repeat.

Get chipper soon and rest them joints :)

I'm sorry that you aren't feeling well, Honey. It's good you don't have to take daughter to class and can take it easy on yourself. Be glad you have Christmas done and wrapped. I haven't hardly started. Waiting until the 15th for the hubby's bonus. I too am going the easy way and buying gift cards for daughter. She is 19 and always returns whatever I buy because her style and mine are way different. LOL

Honey, take good care of yourself. You deserve it!

Honey...I am so sorry you are in a flare. It just sucks the like out of you. I can't imagine what 20 and windy feels like, as we don't hardly ever see those kinds of temps here in Burleson, Texas. I'm sure it has a lot to do with your flare...maybe Christmas shopping and such is a lot on ones body too. Take it easy girl and I hope this passes quickly.
