Well I had my second night with 100mg lyrica. I can NOT stay awake! Im not sure if it’s the lyrica or im getting sick…its probably both..im slightly dizzy-that’s the lyrica. Have a headache and am pretty sure there is a sinus infection around the cornor-maybe that’s why my joints have been awfull? Anyway after not being able to stay awake in my first class I went back to my room and slept for an hour and a half instead of torturing myself trying to keep my eyes open during organic chem. I left. Now 3 hours later I still feel like I just woke up! GRRR and I have tap every day this week fun right? Well not with my joints like this…I have to go though we have a run through of our show in tues and I don’t knw the dance at ALL!

Happy first day and second night of Chanukah everyone who is celebtrating :)
Hi LittleMermaid,
I had to reply because I can't believe you tap dance! Isn't that kind of hard on the joints?
The fatigue of RA can certainly be debilitating. When my RA is out of control it's the thing that bothers me the most. Usually I recommend moderate exercise, but it sounds like you get that already. maybe you have too much on your plate? When you have RA it's a good idea to not take too much on....be the tortoise and keep a slow but steady pace in order to reach your goals.
I hope you feel better soon.
Ah I know. Yea tap is a bit hard on the joints, but I just do it an hour a week…except its crazy this week trying to learn everything before winter break…. I used to do gymnastics, 12 hours a week or more this is a step down from that, there are some steps I cant do cause they are too hard on the knees or hips but I manage. I get very tired from the RA also its also the worst part for me, but I think this is even more from the lyrica that I just started…..
Blah I cant stop dancing, then all I will have is school work and I need some fun in my day.
I know that sleepy/dizzy feeling is torture.  One of the feelings I hate most is having to stay awake and alert (like in class) when you're so tired you can't see straight.  I feel bad you have to go through this, but try to stay with the Lyrica if you can and give your system a chance to get used to it.  I know you're just going up a step every 3 days, but ask your dr if you can take longer, like going up every 4-5 days.  It's a tough med to get used to, but you're tougher, especially if you're still tap dancing!Just tape your eyes open........

DUCK TAPE!!!

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time with this drug and I hope it gets better for you soon. I'm with Katie - are you taking it at night before you go to sleep?

yes before i go to bed, i think im gonna stick with this dose for a bit longer because i have exams coming up in the morning in 2 weeks..no way i can be sleepy like this for them. imsupposed to go up to 125 tomorrow....but i dont think so my doc said i dont have to if its giving me trouble

DUCT TAPE!
