DH called about 1/2 hour ago...the ct of his head came back negative for a sinus infection. So, internal doctor sent him over to an ENT doctor because of the swollen eye. He was sitting in the waiting room when he called.
I must say I am getting very down.
He is miserable, still having temps w/ horrible night sweats, run down, swollen eyes, achy all over. Plus, his joints are now swelling. (Yes, Pip I am driving him crazy about the proibotics and he is taking them!)
Everyone pls pray for the doctors that one of them will have an answer AND a treatment.
I'm so sorry to hear that you guys are still having trouble. I hope the ENT will find something.
Wife, Im sorry to hear that the drs dont have any answers yet. Hopefully the ENT will figure out what is causing the problems. Let us know if the figure anything out
His symptoms sound very obvious...I would think that if they get him to the right doctor, they should be able to make a diagnosis. And, hopefully get him feeling better soon.

But, see I think this is the problem...He had pneumonia back in September, but his lungs are clear now. So, its not that...he has been on three or four antibotics and they are getting rid of it. The last one was a ten day cycle!

I hope they're able to find out what's going on and that it's nothing major. I'm sorry to hear that he's feeling terrible and swelling.ENT specializing in throat checked out throat...no infection.
ENT specializing in eye saw him thinks he "might" have infection in eye...ordered MRI of head at 7am in morning. Followup appt on Monday.
Put him augmentian (msp) today.
I called ENT afterhours today re temp for third night in a row. The said call Internal.
Internal doc afterhours nurse said to call back in morning and call ENT doc in morning to get the MRI read STAT.
When DH comes home from MRI and is not feeling good. I will call Internal Doctor and we will be seen tomorrow and that MRI will be read tomorrow. Even if it means I must pick up 180 pd husband and 32 pd 21 month old at the same time and have my 3 year old open the doctor's office door for me. I will not go into a weekend when I have to work with a husband on the verge of being septic. BTW, I am only 5'1 but it will happen.
I will get some answers because my 21 month old will start to say over and over again louder and louder "I GO BYE BYE!"
Seriously, my parentals are coming tomorrow to help with the boys.
But, I will get some answers...I looked back in the records and his first of four antibotics was issued 9/24/07! This is how long he has been miserable...off and on. I am seriously worried!
Wife, I am so very sorry. I hope it is a simple infection, b/c we don't need another three month treatment. I hate that he is still not feeling well. Any chance they will admit him? It would be nice if they could pump him chock full of antibiotics and kill everything. I don't know, but I know you are scared. Just keep us posted, and I will keep you in my prayers.MRI of Head came back with NOTHING...no infection in face, brain, etc!!
Of course, internal doctor is out today.
Time to go see infectious disease doctor?
