Are you completely pain-free between your flares?

No, even though I was told 2 weeks ago I'm in remission. i dont know if i have damage yet or not, but i would say I'm pretty mild compared to some of you. every day there is usually some minor pain - i've grown accustomed to it tho so it's not real noticeable. But when it flares, i just want to crawl into bed or a hot bath.I wish I was but no I am never completly pain free.............that is such a distant memoryMy pain is daily I have no major damage yet. My Rd told me that it was not likely that I would ever go into remission... He didnt leave me with much hope in that respect.

Since I started AP I have had many pain free days. Before that I don't think I had any.

No.  Nothing just aches all the time, but I do have trouble with my elbow when I lift anything that has a little weight to it.  My knees and ankles hurt if I've been sitting for a while.  Sometimes my wrists and fingers hurt, but not much.  All of these things are handleable though.

No. I always hurt. Let's me know I'm alive.

Hope you have a superfantastic and comfortable day!

I am pain free between my flares now. I found a lot of success in modifying my diet.

Ditto...Jojo-baby's!!
Pretty much.Haven't had a completely pain free day in 7 years :)

I have a lot of days where I am pain free.(except my feet) Probably more pain free days. BUt I Have extensive damage in 2 of my fingers (they are about 4 times the size they should be) and they don't hurt at all. They just look like they hurt.

Sometimes I really think I don't have ra.

Christina, I *hate* it when my feet hurt (which is most the time, dof). Sometimes they wake me up if I move while I'm sleeping. Most mornings they're just screaming at me. I don't have any noticeable inflammation or anything, they just hurt. Sometimes I think it's something else besides RA, too. Oh well, they can keep hurting all they want... I'm gonna keep on walking.

Hope you're having a superfantastic and comfortable evening!

I hear ya mel! I hate that my feet hurt. I swear I would rather have ANY other part of my body hurt but my feet. That just makes the day bad.

I am with you though..I will keep on going!

I don't know if I have any damage, I don't think so, but I have pain somewhere just about every day, but it's minor compared to what many of you deal with, so I'm not going to complain.  It is what it is.

Hey guys, why did your RDs think you would never go into remission?

My hands hurt all day, from the time I get up to when I go to bed, no matter how much pain med I take!  My feet hurt too but not quite as consistently.

I did have one completely pain free day last summer -- don't know what happened, but unfortunately it did not repeat.

Don't think I have too much damage yet, but I just had new x-rays last week so we'll see...

24/7 every day, endone, endep and tramal takes the edge off.  OA hurts as well as RA and DDD. Then the obesity from lack of exercise and prednisone makes the joints even worse.  I think if I had a painfree day I wouldn't know what to do with myself.  Merry painfree Christmas to you all, hugs Janie.

I no longer flare at all.  Since I don't flare I'd say the most I've had is a few 'lurkers' (where it twinges like the joint is going to go off) and that was a few months ago when I was super stressed about my daughters health.  I'm pretty much pain free most of the time but do have a smidge of something that's 'dose related' (meaning I took my Minocin and within an hour or two I feel a vague pain <herx>).  I wouldn't notice it if I wasn't looking for it.  So, I'd guess I'm 99% pain-free.

I haven't been pain free in almost two years!  To those hurting from your feet, I hear ya!  My feet hurt all day long!  Along with everything else!  Good news is that I am starting Humera within the next ew weeks!  Crossing my fingers!  I would give anything to no feel it!Since starting enbrel have had many pain free days.  Until then no damage and no pain free days.  i am  most always in pain...but I also have fibro too! I have days that I actually forget I have RA and then when I just do too much (hats off to those of you who work) around the house, I feel pain somewhere. Doctor told me I am technically in remission but on a week like this one, I doubt it. I have no visible damage and none on my xrays. Being in the throes of winter now is really flaring up my Reynauds and that actually gives me pain (when I'm "thawing out') and redness. It's such a strange illness this RA. I mean, I can walk 3 miles and be fine - or I can do the CHristmas shopping and pick my kids up from school and my feet look swollen and red and I walk like Frankenstein! It's so random.
