Im so angry, upset, bitter and annoyed at this disgusting illness - I HATE IT SO MUCH!

I gave birth 6 weeks ago to my third son and the past 6 weeks have been not too bad - been taking 10 mg pred ad weaned down to 2.5 up until yesterday and started on diclofelnac nearly 2 weeks ago as prescribed from my rheumy - the only thing so far this has done is made me constipated and sicky feeling.

Last night every part of my body has gone into flare up mode - feels like every finger is broken, wrists, both knees, ankles - all of this in splints - just waiting for my shoulders to go know as these the most painful of all.  I have today taken a 10 mg of pred to see if this will help with pain.  It is so hard with a newborn who is so demanding as he has been in hospital all last weekend as got a painful stomach relux and now put onto a special medicated milk as think may be allergic to cows dairy.  He cries in pain a lot of the time and needs to be on my shoulder which i am dreading today! Pity for him as he is beautiful when not in pain.

Any ideas re what i could do with medication etc to have a quick fix ??!!!

Ok that answered my post! I will go delete it now.

Sorry you are flaring and your son has been sick.

I have no idea as to a quick fix. Call your RD.

Best wishes,
June

Oh my goodness, my heart just breaks for you.I think it is wonderful of course about the sweet new baby but the pain you are in.I wish I could help you.

I hope you have help.Get in a very comfortable chair,if he will let you ,and put a pillow over your shoulders and then lay him on you.I know my babies always wanted to be rocked or walked.I know pred. helps, that is the only quick fix I know of.

If you don't have help maybe you can call your dr. and have a nurse come up and help out.I don't know how that works but there must be some type of way to get you help.

Best wishes,
Sheila

I used to sit in a chair with a pad and blankie across my knees and lay my infant on her tummy across my knees.  I would then alternately raise one heel off the floor a little and then the other, which worked like rocking the baby but no pressure on my shoulders (I had what I thougth was bursitis).  You might try that.  You can still rub their back and have that close feeling.
