Well, first of all we are putting up the tree today, I made chocolate dipped pretzels and peanut brittle.  I will be making a pumpkin pie for the church dinner tomorrow and Lorsters gingersnaps!  I have a wonderful family, school is out!!!!! So, I have 3 weeks off and actually have more energy than I had last year.  Enbrel is helping so much, I even did my own holiday shopping this morning with my daughter (she drove, I used a cane).  Here are some people who have helped me this year and have made my holiday happy. I listed some of the people I frequently communicate with on this site or via pm, I have left many off because my fingers are tired.  Maybe someone else can start with the "C's"?

Dear, sweet Mary, What a lovely thing to do! Thank you so much for your kind remarks. You have touched my heart on more than one occasion.

I'm so glad to hear that your holidays are happy. You so deserve to have much joy in your life.

We got our tree up and decorated the house, too. That always puts me in the Christrmas spirit. My precious husband does most of the baking these days. He is so sweet, he always does it with such enthusiasm! I have a couple of things I like to do myself, but he still has to help me a bit.

Your pumpkin pie sounds wonderful! I LOVE pumpkin pie, and, like many of us, the only time we have it is the holidays.

I'm so happy that the Enbrel is helping you! I'm sure you had a great time shopping with your daughter! I went shopping with my Sweetie yesterday. I have to use my scooter, but I'm thankful that I can still go.

Enjoy all your holiday preparations, and the special time with your family! God Bless You!

Hugs, Nini

What a nice thread! Mine areb't alphabetical but things I have particularly noted:

maryblooms-
for being the voice of reason and taking the time to share your vast knowlege of the ins and outs of legal medical issues

JustSayNoeMore-for your wry humour and open minded approach to remedies

Happ-for being open to some mysticism and thinking outside of the Western medicine box

...and more that I would go into if I didn't have to leave the house right now

What a really sweet thing for you to do.  I so hope you have a wonderful Christmas and feel good enough to really enjoy it, more than you have in the past few year.

You are always an inspiration to me.

Aww, Mary! You made me choke up over here!

I want you all to know that this website has truly helped me during my RA journey. You guys have made it a lot easier and I don't know what I would have done without you all. It feels good to know there are people out there that know exactly what you are going through. I hate that RA is the tie that bonds, but I'm grateful for having met you all. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Everyone have a superfantastic and extra comfortable evening!

Here's a few more

MaryBlooms For your wisdom and strong faith and the gentle way you share it.

RAJay For your friendliness and willingness to hang with all us girls

Pip! For sharing your knowledge and articles and taking a chance on a guy(?) named Mel (?)

I don't know you guys well, but you all sound wonderful!!Thanks Kylie!  Welcome here if I haven't already done so.  Darn, this RA brain fog  I have recieved helpful advice and understanding here.  I work in health care, but I have learned more about RA from the folks here on the "front line" than anywhere else. Wow....what a nice post maryblooms. you're right...everyone here is so helpful.  We have a wonderful group of people here!

Even grouchy sometimes, the good out weighs the bad all the time. I've never been part of a support group before. I really think the world of you guys. I am blessed to get to know all of you.

Thanks MaryBlooms. I spent close to 30 years by myself with this disease - knowing so many others are trying to cope, has been just a wonderful thing for me.

Mary- What a lovely wonderful post but then you need to add yourself as you are very true to yourself, helpful, kind spirited and have a geniune way with people.

Take care

"Mary" Christmas!

It's the best I got right now......Mary, this post shows the true meaning of Christmas...thank you for posting it and your kind words.

May you all have a wonderful, holiday season.  You are special people.

Best wishes,

Karen

As the old hymn says  "Count your blessings, name them one by one...."

Thats what we all can be (and are) to each other every day.  Christmas is a time for counting blessings.  Thanks Mary for reminding us to do that.

May you all have a safe and happy Christmas Season.
