ROFL Husband and wheelchair spots | Arthritis Information

For some very very very odd reason, probiotics has taken away the weird swelling ihave had for years that doctors can't figure out.  I kept saying it was related to my stomach cuz it was worse when the swellings worse, but of course they wouldn't listen.

Anyway, we went out and i didn't have my cane (i can now walk into walmart without it to pick up a driving buggy, still can't walk the store but am getting close).

He was upset cuz i didn't need the wheelchair spot! rofl

He was soooooooooo spoiled with parking up close and i didn't want to take the spot when i didn't need it.

So after i didn't take the spot and walked slowly to the store, a woman about 68yrs old parked in it with her sign and walked 500 times faster than me into the store to shop, tripped on the curb, bounced back up fast and kept going.

I was mad.

I told him, next time take the spot, i needed it more than she did.

But, he was funny get sad without his spot, now i know why he wants me to hit the stores with him :)

OMG - toooooo funny!

And congrats on feeling better with probiotics!

Hugs,

Pip

Pip...was that you that got knocked over by a student at the handicapped door at some university?  I was new here when that was posted and I can't remember for sure who it was.

That story wasn't funny, but for some reason BG's story makes me think of it.

Bubbagump, that makes me think of my 15 year old.  I don't think she can park in a regular parking spot.  She is so used to using the handicapped ones when I am with her.  I have been feeling so good the last few weeks I have made her park elsewhere and leave it open for someone who needs it.

She now becomes very concerned when she is driving to the store and asks me, " mom, are you SURE you can walk all right?, maybe we should park closer".  Of course, this is the same daughter who will call me from upstairs to bring her a glass of water when she is lounging in the family room, sometimes by a cell phone

Last night... I actually gave in and rode around on an electric cart at wal-mart. We were in there for close to 2 hours.

Nope, that wasn't me - I'm too round!  LOL

Pip

lol

I have been given seats in the waiting room by people old enough to be my parents.  Makes me feel odd but also makes me think "god bless them, they are still kicking in their 70s and 80s".

I really wish i was like my grandma (except her eye sight has gone recently) but she was, honest to god, going shopping with her friends etc. and she is 90yrs old.  Her friend who "drove" was 91.  She has to take the drivers test every year that she renews it.

My family has always been go go go, even when sick, so i hope i will be like them.
