When you have RA does it make it easier to get colds,flu etc.
Yes it does because your immune system is weakened. I also find it takes me longer to get over a cold once I get one. Just another perk of RA I guess.

Do not know. hardly ever get sick, I mean like flu, stomach virus, colds, ect.
Everyone else around me will be sick and it will get passed around and I will never end up with it.
It just leaves to have to tend to the sick ones

Jackie Hi Sheila, It does, especially with the mtx, remicade, etc. I've had a cold/sinus infection for about a month so my RD is having me take some strong antibiotics and get a sinus mri before taking remicade again. But, yes, even before taking any medication I used to get colds very easy and was easy for me to get run down and 'fluey'. I hope you are feeling better SOON!!!
We only have one Krispy Kreme, and it's on Maui. Not here in Honolulu. Go figure!
