Okay so I want to try something a little new...

I want this to be the thread that you come to when you feel like you can't make it any more. When you're down down down and you can't see the end of the tunnel. I want everyone to post something uplifting, thoughtful, loving, caring, etc. It can be a quote, something someone told you once, part of a song. Whatever.

Only one rule, keep it simple. Hopefully we can turn this into pages of simple phrases, prayers, thoughts, and other words that can put a smile on our faces when we need it.

So, get to it!

"...Life is a road and I wanna keep going,
love is a river I wanna keep flowing,
life is a road now and forever -
wonderful journey.......

I'll be there when the world stops turning,
I'll be there when the storm is through
In the end I wanna be standing at the beginning with you...."

arriscolwell39426.1236226852I know that not many find the book of Job "uplifting" but if you read it carefully, I think this is something we do for each other.  I can't relieve another's pain, but I can recognize it, acknowledge it and sympathize.

Job 2 11-13 NAS

11 Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this adversity that had come upon him, they came each one from his own place, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite; and they made an appointment together to come to sympathize with him and comfort him. 12 When they lifted up their eyes at a distance and did not recognize him, they raised their voices and wept. And each of them tore his robe and they threw dust over their heads toward the sky. 13 Then they sat down on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights with no one speaking a word to him, for they saw that his pain was very great.

Good idea Katie

I don't mind taking one step forward, and two steps back. At least I'm still on my feet.

 - Me!

Good one Katie!  Hey girl, PM me your address. I am cleaning up by bead stash for inventory and I have some things I can send you.  I must keep you addicted to beading.  I also have some basic beading books that I don't use and you are welcome to it if you want them.

I always hang on to this when things are going rough, it's from Jeremiah 29:11

11For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter. (E E. Cummings)

One way to get the most out of life is to look upon it as an adventure. (William Feather)

"I was sad because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet; so I said, "Hey, you got any shoes you're not using?"  (Steven Wright)

"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans"

- John Lennon, in the song "Beautiful Boy"

I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are;

because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star.

I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far;

for a might have-been has never been,

but a has was once an are.
