Hi, I have been on pred. for a shoulder neck, nerve problem. I do not remember the mgs. but I took 6 the first day and so on. I missed the last 2 pills but felt it would be o.k., I was very uneducated about the drug, ever since I have stopped taking the drug I have had severe headaches and my feet and legs hurt so bad taht I can't walk at times. I went to a dr. on sat. of course not mine on the weekend and he tested for every joint thing it could be, all the tests came out neg. except for the ANA which ws 160. no one at the dr. office seemed to care that I was on pred. I have had in the past where my knees hurt and my wrists get severe and my fingers would get stiff and achy slightly but never went in for it, so I 'm not sure if it would have happened anyhow.I am scheduled to go to a rheumy for the ANA test in oct., but have a suspicious idea that pred. may have altered the test. In the mean time my Dr. has given me 500 mgs. of naproxen 2x a day, I have had 2 of those and have had little relief, I should also note that I have been off the pred. for about a week now.
