Saw family doctor today | Arthritis Information

First, my cold is in fully swing, and my husband is starting to sneeze so i hope he doesn't give it back when mine is gone.  And my teen won't come in the room while i am sick cuz she doesn't want to miss being with her friends lol.

But, went to the family doctor today, he's the one that subsribes my pred and mobic since my rhummy is dumb.

He gave me a flu shot, nurse wouldn't give it in the toosh so i got it in the arm and the pain is killing me.

But, i told him of my probiotics and he checked me out and about freaked with how well they have helped me.  He told me to stay on them and took the name of my probiotic so he could tell his other patients with weird stomach problems and swellings to try it.  So that was cool :)

He also gave me paxil for what he said is social anxiety disorder.  He put me on a very low dose to see how i do since i reject meds a lot.  And we will work from there.

He also told me, that with what he can see on my improvement that i should stay on prednisone isntead of himura due to the difference in side effects and how i have breathing problems with my RA and himura can cause them.

But he said with the small amounts of pred i am on (10mg or less) that if my sed rate comes back good, that if he was me, he would stay on pred.

He also told me that pred can cause other arthritis, but that it would take a while to get it and with the new meds on the market, when it starts to show, we should be able to counteract it.

So, i will see how things go.  Keeping fingers crossed that the probiotics keep working for me.

Today is my last day for my BV antibiotics "yay" tired of being nautious.

Yay for ra improvement, BOO for cold.! I hope the probiotics keep working and your cold gets better soon.!

take care

Good news and welll BOO cold! I hope you continue to improve. I might need to look into the probotics. Where did you get them from?Bubba - sounds like you made some progress.  I am noticing in the news an explosion of articles about probiotics and the gut and how important good colon health is to maintain to stay healthy.  Glad they are helping you, and even better, you helped educate your doctor so that perhaps he will pass it on to others.  Good work.  CathyBubba,

That's great! I am going to be starting probiotics soon and I am looking forward to it. I'm going to be making my own yogurt from this web site:

My regular doc was impressed by the probiotic contents of the yogurt, and she thinks it can only help me out.
Bubba...sorry about the cold, but the rest sounds great!  I hope it continues.  I also hope your cold goes away quickly.  It's so nice to hear your good news.  Except the cold of course. But hopefully you can beat it before Christmas.
