Allright i have felt badly all week. Not one good day that i can recall. So Monday i went to the dentist he did an exray and said there was no abcess on exray just an injury on the gum. Said pain was from the empty socket in front of the fixed tooth as the tooth moves around and will hurt for a couple of weeks. . He said to stay on the antibiotic. Well i do not think he meant forever. So i have been off the antibiotic for two days. I was sick before when i was on the antibiotic. Started a probiotic last night. Have uped my pred not much relieve. So if i have the flu or a virus do you think it might be alright to start my Arava? I do not see that my supposedly not infected tooth is any worse from stopping the antibiotic. My headache is actually better. I do have alot of wierd facial stuff going on and swelling under lower jaw but i think it is sinus or RA related or both. Tooth is on the top. My shoulders and neck and knees and the list goes on. OOuuch!!!!!!!! And i is so tired sleepy tired and tired of being sick, and tired of being patient. So should i be patient? Or should i take the leap? As of tommorrow morning i have no work obligations and i should have the time off incase the medicine makes me more tired. I mean if tommorrow morning i wake up and my gum is not any worse i think i will start my meds. Should a flu maybe flu i can not be sure even that i have the flu but i think i do or have had all week keep me from starting my RA meds? I do not see me getting better on this patient course what could it hurt. I mean if i am wrong then i just quit taking the meds and go back on antibiotics right. What could be the difference?Gee, Milly, I'm sorry you're having such a bad time.  I don't feel comfortable advising you about anything except the antibiotic.  If the dentist/doctor gave you a set amount for the infection or some other particular illness, you need to finish the whole thing so you don't build up a resistance and end up with a stronger infection that's harder to fight.  Did he give you something like a week or ten days worth?  Or are you on them long term?  You really need to talk to a doctor to get the kind of answers you need.  Don't mess.  Please.  I'm sorry you've had a bad week, Milly. Jesse is right. You need to stay on the anti-biotic for the prescribed amount of time. Does it make you sick to your stomach? Maybe you should call your dentist about that. He might have a different one he can put you on. I hope the rest of the week goes better for you and that you get a good night's sleep.Yeah, Milly. I agree with the others.  I hope you'll be feeling better soon.
