For those of you who take provigil, have you noticed that it suppresses your appetite? I recently started taking it and have not had an appetite at all. I was given a sample box and so far a just taking half a tablet (100 mg). Just curious if this is a side effect most of you have noticed. And if you lose your appetite, do you force yourself to eat? love and hugs to you all, juliahI don't know Juliah BUT I WANT SOME Hi Juliah! I lost about 20 lbs in the year I took. But that could have been due to other meds too. I was taken of of provigil about a week ago and I miss it! There have been some new findings of people having breathing trouble on it. Since my docs do not know what is causing my breathing trouble, they took me off. I am so tired now.
Oh Mary that is sad. Is that what you took to stay awake? Breathing is important. I will maybe skip this one as i have asthma and some drugs really effect my breathing. I already lost my 20 lbs from the RA alone. But i was thinking about wanting to be awake.Hi Milly, it is an uncommon side effect and I was also taken off of MTX because of my breathing problems and anemia. I really don't know how I will be able to go back to work and be alert after winter break without it. I too have asthma and will be going back to the doc tomorrow to see what is going on.
