Here's the latest update on DH....

Internal Doctor spoke to RA Doctor...RA Doctor said that meds would not cause a 102.3 temp.

Internal Doctor decided that we need to see Infectious Disease Doctor....which we are still waiting for an appointment.

(HAVEN'T I BEEN SCREAMING THAT FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS!!!)

DH has been on Augmentiun (msp) for about 7 days...out of 10 days.

DH's temp of 102.3 came back tonight.

All I have to say is we will get an appointment tomorrow with the Infectious Disease Doctor.  I talked to the Nurse Manager and another Internal Doctor in the practice last week because our regular was out.  Oh, they aren't going to like me tomorrow.

I feel so bad for DH he is miserable and it is wearing on him.  This has been going on since September!

Wish me luck and please say a prayer for us.

UPDATE:

We have an appointment with the Infectious Disease Doctor at 2:15!

Good luck with your appointment.  I hope you get the answers you need.  Hang in there and don't forget to take care of yourself too!  We're thinking of you and sending good thoughts.

Good Luck! Hope all goes well.
We went to the infectious disease doctor today.  He was very good and really listened to the extensive background on DH.  The doctor does not know what DH is fighting right now, but is very concerned.  They took a ton of blood to run tests on today and tomorrow.  He ordered a CT of the ab, pelvis and chest tomorrow.  The doctor seems to feel the since of urgency that both DH and I feel right now.  He mentioned several potential reasons...heart infection, lymphoma, a cyst on the liver or something else that one of those cat scans will show us.

I am very scared, but at least we might have some answers soon and a direction in which to proceed.

Gosh, none of those sound very good. I hope you do find an answer, and that it is an easy fix.  I am glad you are finally getting attention, and the Doc is taking you seriously.  This has been so frustrating for you and for DH.

Sometimes even if it is an awful answer, at least you would know what you are dealing with.  Hang in there and hopefully by Monday they may know something more!!!  I am still praying, of course now I know what I don't want it to be!
