They are calling me in some Avelox. I believe that means i will be sleeping for five days. Guess i better go take a bath unless i have to go to the eroom. It is safer and stronger than Leviquin but in the same family. The hospital once told me to quit taking that once but i was sure it was my asthma medicine making me sick at the time. It was during this time the doctors at the clinic thought they could cure all of my problems by putting me h1, h2, h3 inhibitors all at the same time. It did not work so well for them. I tend to reject inhibitors. My body is like my personality it dose not like to be told what to do. It was the asthma one that made me turn red and have chills i am sure. I am pretty sure. Well i hope so. Anyway as it has turned out i can take the other antibiotics in the Avelox family and none of the newer asthma meds so i will go ahead and try this as i am sure i was doing fine on the Avelox last time till i took the darn asthma medicine. I did not even take the asthma med for an asthma attack in progress just more of a experemental thing. It is sort of funny i had at that time run out of antibiotics to take except for the ones in this family. Turns out this family was one i was not allergic to and i hope the docs getting nervousness did not mess this this up. I think they invented Avelox before Levequin but i am not sure. Leviquin was especially made for people that are allergic to other antibiotics i believe. Anyway i like the word safer but i have some concerns. But scince my RA dx my doc won't give me leviquin I do not understand this. Maybe scince you can not take iron supplements with Leviquin and he thinks i may get to a place where i could use iron supplements that is all i can figure out.

HOWEVER---and this is a BIG HOWEVER---if you believe in the infection
theory like I do, and treat your RA with antibiotics, Levaquin is known to
cause THE MOTHER OF ALL HERXES, so I think those people have RA, but
so mildly they don't know it, and when they take the Levaquin they herx
like crazy and all their RA shows up. The very newest thing in AP theory is
that one to several courses of Levaquin will actually CURE your RA, if you
survive the treatment. There's at least one person on the Road Back
bulletin board who is trying the Levquin cure theory, so we will see how it
goes.
Milly, can you take tetracycline antibiotics? many people on Minocin for
RA report the unexpected but pleasant side effect of thier asthma clearing

So, am I to understand that you are trying AP now? I guess I am confused but if it helps and if it cures, better than suffering. Take care of yourself, and I hope it is an uneventful run of antibiotics.
That is my whole problem i can not take antibiotics. Quinolones are about all i can take.They are harsh on the body. But very strong usually they sap anything and really fast. I had read where alot of people were blaming Levequin for all sorts of muscle and neuro problems. I however thought it had the opposite effect on me. I thought it always knocked out a fibro attack. As i would get sick bronchitis and start to flare with fibro take the leviquin and feel better. I thought it shortened the course of my fibro attacks. It is hard on my reflux. And it gives me insomnia worse than hi dose pred. I really wonder if that is why i made it the last three years with out an RA flare. But Leviquin does not work on gums and bone so much as cipro and i am sure my doc has my best interest at heart. Right now we are treating bronchitis. It will be a while before i am ready for any thoughts of AP. I have been threw the ringer on antibiotics. I would consider Leviqiun AP some where down the road. But no i can not take tetricicline, penicillin. sulfa , erythrimiacyn, zythrimicin. I sometimes take keflex but that sort of makes me itchy and is not very strong. They need to make some more new antibiotics to keep up with me. Well i said that was the whole problem. The Sjorgrens is the main problem with why i am getting all of these infections.
