For those of you who caught my post earlier in the week, I did talk to my nurse at the RD and she looked at my last labs and said she would have to talk to the dr and call me back and I might need to come in. We played phone tag all day but finally she realized that I had been told a couple weeks ago to increase pred to 10 mg, but a few days after my lab work was done a note was written saying to increase to 20 mg. But no one ever called and told me to do it.  So now she is checking to see what I am supposed to do so maybe I will find out Monday. Unfortunately this confirms that I am not doing well and am maxed out on all my other meds. I am in denial so much of the time that as long as I can keep going I figure I must be okay. I have a lot of tingling in my back and neck now and my left leg seems sort of floppy, like I can't control it precisely as I should be able to. Thanks for listening and the advice. I have a hard time admitting when things are not going well, I still tend to think it is somehow all in my head.

Oh I am sorry. Sometimes this stuff self resolves after a while. I had my knees falling straight out from under me in the past and the foot flop and i just do not now. I do not know exactly why i did or what fixed it. I do wish i did so i could help stir you in a better direction. Everyone kept telling me fibro or back swellig at the time. The orthos gave me pred for back swelling and had me get a knee brace, the cloth ones at the drug store I got two one for each knee. I even switched RD ' s at the time and the new RD said sounds like fibro as far as me telling them about my knees going out from under me. I do not remember if i told them about the foot flop. I do know i did end up flaring after my knee went out from under me once. I do remember taking my foot out of town and he said fibro more of a neurological problem. But i do not know if it was flopping at the time my foot did alot of crazy things. But it can get better. I hope you will be better soon.

Are their other meds you can move on to, Laker?  It'll be ok.

Laker, I hope it gets straightened out asap.  We have enough trouble keeping things straight with our frain bog, that when the physician's office starts in too, it's overwhelming.  Hang in there.  Cathy

I am sorry, Laker. Remind me again, why you have not started a biological, please?

I hope you get to feeling better with the 20mg of pred. I am worried about your tingling, might need to see a nuerological doctor?

Huggs!

I am truly sorry your having such troubles Laker. Are you now at the end of the RA meds list...nothing else to try? I hope the increase of pred will relieve your pain. Keep us posted. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Blessed39430.9734837963I'm sorry Laker.  This must be so frustrating for you.  For what it's worth, my sister with RA recently had to up her pred. because she was starting to have stiffness, pain, etc. again.  This was after many good years. She didn't want to do it, but did.  She just told me yesterday she's able to drop the pred dose again.  So I'm thinking, even if you have to raise your pred, it may just be for a short time and not a bad sign overall.  Keep the faith.  This isn't the end of the story, not by a long shot.
