Mother and RA do not mix, it has been a tough week and I am flaring and still have so much work to get completed.

She has surgery the beginning of JAnuary so her BP has to remain stable...so that means I have to hold my tongue, that means I have to let everything roll off my back. SO I Will have to ignore in a sweetsy manner. GRR.

So far her biggest problem now is that she wants to be able to buy anything in any store and not worry about the price. THat is all she wants....I tried to tell her that few paople can ever do that and she said, well that is what she wants. Period.  If she cannot have that, there is absolutely no reason to live......I grow so weary of that statement!

I have seen many children act that way but not an adult....
Sorry but don't know what else one could say.

Jode, It sounds like you had a truly wonderful evening out with your daughter! You are right. Sometimes, our most cherished times can come from the most unexpected places. I'm sure your daughter  had a great time, remembering all the books you read to her when she was young. It sounds like a beautiful time.

I'm glad your daughter is moving in. Perhaps, she can temper the unhappiness your Mother seems to project. If nothing else, you'll have the company of someone you really enjoy.

I'm sorry to say, it sounds like your Mother is a very unhappy person. And it seems she wants everyone around her to be as unhappy as she is. Don't let her take your joy away from you.

When you get upset or impatient with mom, try to focus on your daughter and the new grandchild. When is your daughter due?

I hope you start feeling better! Try not to let your Mom stress you out.

Big hugs, Nini

It's too bad you don't have the same kind of relationship with your mom that you do your daughter.  Your mom doesn't seem to place any value on those things that truely are valuable.    That's very sad because material things can never leave one totally satisfied, they only leave them looking for the next thing that just might do it.  What a waste.
