I have to go to the Mall, finally. 

Aaaaarg!

No power 1/2 the day, then Santa at the mall's camera broke with a 2 hour line, then the tree lights got cut (by us - sheesh!).

Up and heading to the mall today.

I'm cooking prime rib for dinner tonight...my first...it's on the counter coming to room temp...I hope I don't mess up! I have baked potatoes in the crock pot, some veggies to steam, and made coconut cream pies last night, yeast roll in the freezer,. How does that sound?

Hope everyone is having a good morning and gets through the next couple of days as pain free as possibe. Enjoy your families amd holiday.

Yeah I've been talking to my dad about what I'm supposed to do if the flight can't make it into Madison. *sigh* I'm supposed to try Milkwaukee first, then Chicago. Ick! To say the least, this trip is going to be an adventure!! I have a feeling my luggage and I aren't going to be arriving at the same time.......

Of course Christmas was going to be at her place tomorrow

Merry Christmas all!!!I'm bored out of my mind at work.  I'm supposed to be testing out a new system today, but the developers didn't finish up on Friday and they're not here today, so I've got nothing to do.  I suppose I could clean up my cube if I were actually ambitious, but I'm not, so I won't. I'm all ready but I was suddenly struck by the notion I haven't donated enought his year (actually nothing) so I had to go shopping again for donations. There's a tree at my neighbourhood mall with tags of Christmas wishes from kids and you get what's on the tag and put it in the elve's house (hopefully the elve's will get that stuff delivered on time. I wish I had done that earlier as the elves are probably as busy as anyone, but I guess an afterthought is better than no thought at all). I got up early today and did that in the morning so now I'm really, really done the shopping part. All that's left is cooking, parties, and the Wii under the Trii!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, AIers! Moana we're having prime rib too, just a small one for Leslie and I, Yorkshire pudding is the best side dish for prime rib. We're also going to make ice cream, she likes Ben & Jerry's cheesecake, just the graham cracker part, so I made a graham cracker crust last night and we're going to add it to the homemade ice cream.

Tomorrow we're hosting the potluck dinner for all of us left behind in the now frozen north, at least we got snow for Christmas. DH & DD are in Germany with her YFU family and the 7 friends who usually host this party went to Hawaii.

Things are under control and no one has a fever or a rash or any mystery symptoms, so I'd be fine, too - except my turkey is still frozen SOLID!!!!   The label said 2-3 days for a 12-16 lb. turkey to thaw.  Took it out of the freezer first thing Sat. and it is still rock hard (and it is only a little over 12 lbs.).

So we might be microwaving chicken nuggets tomorrow.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!! I am at the new house and halfway unpacked.  Thank God for my mom!!! She kept Kelsay and the dog all morning Saturday then met us at the new house to help unpack then came over yesterday to help me decorate for Christmas.  Just thought I would check for a bit before I have to get ready to go to my aunts for Christmas eve.  I made 2 batches of 2 different kinds of cookies today.  I am soooo ready for a nap!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone. I managed to finally get everything together as family will all be coming over here tonight. I don't have to worry about the turkey as hubby gets Dinner duty tomorrow as I had to put almost everything else together including wrapping all of the kids gifts. My wrists are paying for it now, but I'll be getting new wrist splints made at the hospital on Dec. 31. I hope you all take some well deserved time for yourselves at this time of year you deserve it!                                       Hugs

On the plus side, Jess was awesome and since the cab company wanted to charge me FIFTY DOLLARS to get to the airport, she's going to come in early, so Justin can take me to the airport. Yay!

 

Anywhos.......if anyone wants to entertain me for the next 4 hours, I'm on AIM and Yahoo....LOL

 

Oh, and Shannon....I kinda hope I get flown into Chicago. That would be a riot!!! Hi Katie haven't been on in a while. So where are you going on vacation? Hey there! Going to WI to see mah momma and mah daddy!  I'm excited! I think it's been 3 years since I was up there!Wow that sounds like it's been way too long. Is the weather supposed to be good there or is there alot of snow there. Where I am we are having a chinook right now so I don't think that we're gonna see too much for snow for xmas. I don't mind though cause it sure makes it easy for driving. Oh lordy they just got a TON of snow, and ice! Dad works at the airport in Madison, where I'm supposed to fly into. He said they haven't had a regular set of flights in days. So we're all crossing our fingers it clears up here soon. At the worst, I'm hoping for a delay in getting there. While it would be big pimpin' to see Shannon in Chicago, that's like a 2-3 hour car ride to my mom's house. Or something like that....
