I have found that since I have got the inflamation down,,that my joints are definately more noisyI always know when my shoulders are going to flare.  A few days before, I feel (and hear) this snapping when I move my shoulder.  It feels like someone is strumming my tendons like strings on a guitar.  Weird.  It's loud enough that even my husband hears it across the room.Mine make all that noise too.  Especially the joints in my legs and feet.  But only with my first steps, after I walk a bit the popping stops. My back bone sounds like that when I sneeze. I am having an MRI next
Monday to see what is going on. Just one of the wonderful benefits of this
disease. That snap crackle and pop sound was one of the first things I noticed right before I was dxd with RA.  When I went to my PCP and told him about how bad my hands hurt and how tired I was I mentioned you could hear me coming a mile away.  I don't know what causes the noise but I have it too.Yes even as i only got my RA dx a few months ago, I have had the snap crackle pops scince i was 23. I remember first RD visit and nothing showed on blood work. They said we do not know what is wrong with you. I said well watch this. I would barely move my legs an inch back and forth and snap crackel pop. Hips and ischicle tuberosity just sounded like a loud bowl of cereal. He said i don't know what is causing that. I do like to think it is a sign of getting better and relieve of inflamation but i am not sure. So if i am really swelled some place and i here a big pop, I think hmmmm is this a good thing? Not allways sure it works that way. As last pop i had in my shoulder i thought it dislocated, it did not really i do not think, it sure felt as if it had. milly39443.5111342593

I guess im still too swollen.  Mine started cracking about age 16, my husband always teased me for years about sounding like a salt grinder.

But since i got really bad, i haven't crackled once.

Years ago i tried to sneak up on him to tickle him, of course he could hear me a mile away.

I've posted before about my knees sounding like a rifle shot one day at the RD's office.. all the office girls started cheering and clapping and told me I got the prize for the loudest crack all day.

my knees are the worst, but my ankles grind...  they sound like something being dragged across cement..

all my joints make a lot of noise

I think the grinding sounds, like gravel, are the ones that hurt me the most. I also have a jaw that pops so loud, my Sweetie can hear it across the room. I have to open my mouth kind of wide, 'til it pops (I almost wrote "poops"

Knees pop anytime I get up from lying down, or sitting. Like some of you, I just make noise from many joints, any time I move. I guess we are not alone.
