I just got back from a spontaneous overnight camping trip with my dogs.  I slept in the back of my four-runner staring at the stars.  No pad, hard floor, slept little but you know what.  It was bliss.  I felt like I could see God among the stars and we had a good conversation :  )  Spent today swimming and laying on my five dollar raft in a lake with my dogs. (until my big dog Tyler decided it was a chew toy and we sunk

PS  I will let you guys know, but I think next week is my first Humira injection!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yes,

I like to keep as active as possible.  Even if one thing is hurting, I'll find a different way of doing it.  Yes indeed, there is a life after RA and sometimes it really makes you appreciate things a little more, things that you used to take for granted.  I enjoy biking, walking, swimming and (don't throw things at the screen people) I enjoy cleaning my house it relaxes me.

Glad you had a great trip Roxy it's nice to get close to heaven.  I got back just 2 weeks ago from a week at the cottage, just to sit with the stars at night and wake up with the sun was so beautiful...ahhhh it's good to be alive.

Sometimes when I'm really hurting I go back in my mind to the wonderful camping times under the stars, in the woods floating on the lake listening to the quiet. I carry those moments with me always. Unfortunately I haven't gone camping for years but oh did I love it.

Jackie/Kathy-  I am so glad you understand how healing it is to be out in the woods.  I am REALLY sore this morning, probably mainly from sleeping on the hard car floor but I am SO HAPPY.  Those memories are so fresh.  I have not had a shower in three days - OMG.  I have to go take one and it hurts to walk but the warm water will feel better.

I loved those stars, and watched the sun come up and the smell of the campfire, and the smell of the Firs and Pines, and the sound of the coyotes and birds in the morning, and floating on that water all day with the warm sun to soothe my aching body.  OH YES  IT WAS WORTH IT!!!!

Joonie,  I think Tyler dog was just loaning me his "chew toy" until it was time to leave That was a lovely description roxy - felt like I was there - hmmmmmm

Your trip sounds heavenly.I love the outdoors too.We tent camp when everyone is feeling well, can't get to far from hospital because of Carrie.

I have always wanted to go camping by myself. When I was a young girl I spent many hours in the woods near my home.It was my safe haven away from my life at home.I love the peacefulness of the woods.

Despite feeling pain today, I know you would do it over again in  a heartbeat.I admire you and your determination to live your life despite this awful illness.
