Well, her nurse did today.
They are starting me on 10mg arava, they want to start me slow to make sure it wasn't causing problems with my breathing last year. They believe my lungs and heart are effected by ra, so they want to watch carefully just in case.
I can't get off my prednisone, i was told i have to stay on it due to how i don't breathe when off it. I guess that's important lol.
But, this is my "last" chance drug. So, if you can, please say a little prayer that this one will be the magic pill. After this, there is nothing for me except just upping the prednisone.
There are new drugs coming on the market soon, so we will not say last chance drug. I get that kind of thinking also. You have got my prayers thats for sure. I guess breathing is a good idea. I am breathing better on 20 mg pred. The RA is probably effecting my breathing because i noticed the Arava helped my breathing alot even with me being allergic to it. Now isn't that strange. At first when i took it i would get sinus drainage and coughing and a bit of breathing problem then it would kick in and i was like how nice, is this what it is like to really breath. I figuered as it took alot of the swelling out of my chest and my lungs had more room to do there thing, but who really knows. Oh good luck i am so hoping you can get some relief.Thanks milly.
I didn't know just how bad my breathing was cuz i was breathing like that for years. I had to take a test where i breathed in a tube and had to blow down the pigs houses (fun game lol) and failed horribly. First try i got one house, 2nd i got 2 but it was extremely hard.
RA attacks so many things that is a body disease now,not just a joint disease.
I get sinusitis without my pred along with the bronchitis and asthma. Pred is my best friend right now.
The breathing scares me more than anything else that RA does.
Yes i know the feeling. I get scared about the breathing , then all that swelling when i get it in my chest i start worring about my heart. Oh my i do alot of worring sometimes. When you are misserable it is hard not to. Hey someone has to worry about me, might as well be me. Went to walmart to pick up my meds and of course......
"She Didn't Call It In Like She Said She Was".
Grrrrrrrrr lol.
My husband said today that it isn't really her, it's her staff that is so horribly bad. I drove for 1/2hr to the store (live in the boonies) and got my mobic refill but no call in for Arava. I tried the other side of town for that walmart, but no call in there either.
They are starting to make me mad and laugh at the same time, it's a cycle that never ends lol
