Have survived Christmas even though I burnt the Christmas dinner!!!

looks like enbrel isnt working as well for me as I once thought, as back in July/August when I first went on it I truly felt great, but now the RA is beginning to kick in again quite bad.
Im due back at the hospital in mid January and think the rheumy will probably move me on to Humira.
Just wondered if anyone had failed on Enbrel like me and moved to Humira with good results?

I hate that for you Anna... this seems to happen quite often with RA meds. Something works great for awhile and then all of a sudden it ian't working anymore. I don't know if the body just gets immune or the RA gets worse.
All of the biologics (except for the Humira and Rituxin, which didn't work at all) seem to work for 6 months to a year, then the effects start to wane, and then they eventually stop working all together.
I'm not saying that this is the norm, but for me it certainly seems to be the case.
Hi Anna, it's always so disappointing when the biologic fails. I've been through it and I hate the disappointment. I started on Enbrel, went to Remicade, and now am on Humira. I sort of did it backwards. Humira is working, I'm about 70% better. I have RA/PA/OA and I never know which one is causing pain, sometimes it's all 3. I hope that humira works for you. Take care. LindyI tried Enbrel too, it didn\t change anything but made my heart rate and BP go sky high. Waiting till after the holiday to get back to the rhuemy. Hope you feel better soon.
