I've had a rash on my hand for a few days now.  It isn't particularly itchy nor is it spreading.

The only changes in my medication are I'm up to 15 milligrams of methotrexate from ten and I started taking mobic.

I'm not having great luck calling the RD's office.  I called last Friday and left a message  and they never got back to me.  I had a cold and wondered if it was okay to take MTX.  Itook it and was fine.

Thay implied they were very accessible but I'm beginning to wonder!

I'm using cortisone cream and stopped taking the mobic.  Do you think this is anything to be concerned about?

Thanks.

What does it look like, I myself have recently started getting scaley dry skin patches. Both my hands on my knuckles its cracked and flaky and burns to put lotion on them. I think it may be psorisis but I just recently started all this so im not positive. an allergic reaction to medication rash is likely to be more widespread than simply on your hands.  I would like towads some kind of contact dermititis as the cause first. I would go back to your mobic but keep using the cortisone cream on your hand.Use the cream and if it feels really itchy take a benedryl that will help.  I am having the same problem too it is just the weather is causing you irritation, try not to have your hands in water constantly and dry them thoroughly and apply cream.   In fact get a pair of rubber gloves to wear while doing dishes or chores so you don't dry your hands out and drink water you may need to up fluids to help with the dryness too.  meme

JUst a few, but I'm not sure where they came from.  Do you think it makes a difference?

It certainly isn't wide spread.

Again, thanks for your replies.

I have had that in the past. SOmetimes it just kind of came and went, a few times I went to the Dr. and it was scarletina...(sp) like scarlet fever rash only just a mild case and on your hands.

Mine always went away after about a week, maybe 2. I think they said it was a virus or something. I have had that about 5 or 6 since I was in the 7th grade.
