Inflamatory post- AP doc -sensitive subj | Arthritis Information
Beware - this is a link to a radio broadcast Karin sent me in July and I just had a second to listen. This is a famous AP doc who is retiring. He does not mince words.

You go girl! I'm so thankful for finding AP! I'm in remission and living life to the fullest!

You should hear him when he is not subject to FCC regulations!
His last statement has more meaning to me now than it did when I first heard this. Hopefully some of us using AP are giving rheums some clinical experience with it.
Listened longer this time - he talks about Crohn's, too; recommends Biaxin.
Well, I kept on listening, and he gets a Lyme call, too. She was dx'd, treated 6-8 weeks, still has pain/symptoms and rheum put her on mtx and Daypro. He says try Minocin for that, too.
I've posted that a bunch of times since I first found it on his website (I
think that's how Karin got it. I was on a Dr M binge one week when I
came across it) but every time I listen to it it becomes more relevant. I
never listened to the whole show yet.
I met a woman over the holidays who has Lyme's and I sent her a list of
Dr.s, including one I had called last year who was semi-retired and was
only treating his existing lyme's patients, and she called him and was able
to see him the next day (serendipity!). He said his license may be
revoked soon, because of his antibiotic approach towards Lymes. This is
despite the fact that his patients get better! I looked up his profile on
RateMds and he has 27 of the most glowing reviews I've ever read there. The
Lyme's disease "controversy" (more of a manufactured revisionist medical
debate) is heating up and the Dark Side is gaining ground.
She belongs to a group called TOFU. That's an acronym for Ticked Off and
Fed Up! There's a hornets nest a-brewin'!

I recently heard a radio show where a doctor said even fleas and
mosquitoes can carry Lyme's and it's a lot more widespread than
people think; that a lot of what are diagnosed as other AI diseases are
actually Lyme's. That certainly supports the infection theory! Which is
probably part of the reason the Forces Who Do Not Want To See
Profitable Diseases Cured are really organising against the whole idea
that Lyme's disease even exists ( a step up from "it exists but it's
over diagnosed and over treated). It's so frustrating because it's been
PROVEN BEYOND A DOUBT many times.

Hey EmilyP -
The people on this thread (so far) are APer's - people that use antibiotics to control our autoimmune disease. I just got a kick out of finally listening to this (6 months) after I got it and seeing how *forceful* he was with his opinions. APer's agree with him. I know Minocin saved my life! And no, I'm not kidding. I was that bad off.
Hugs,
Pip

Sorry Suzanne...I hate when I forget to make room in that box! But it is
