I could see this happening easily, if you were treating pain with a patch and a heating pad or heat wrap.
they have that warning in the pamphlet in the package with the patches. but it never hurts to remind ppl since I'm sure there are some who don't read the entire pamphlet since it's quite lengthy.
The FDA just posted this 12/21/07, so I guess you are right, the warning already out there was not being heeded.
