What is your Remicade dosage?

I found out how much Remicade I was receiving last visit. I am getting 200.

I was on 600. I think I started out at 300, but the dosage was increased every couple of infusions.Every 7 weeks, 500.

Instead of increasing my dosage, they decreased the amount of time between infusions.  I was getting an infusion every 4 weeks.

Joonie, your pm box is full....

While I was on it: 600 every 6 weeksYou actually might still be getting a loading dose. I wouldn't be surprised
if you were at 300 when at the regular intervals I think that is the starting
amount...

Yeah I think I am still doing loading doses. I have one more Jan 24th and then I go every 6 weeks.

So... what ya'll are saying is I will be at 300 after my last loading dose? That sounds like an odd number, I like even numbers.

600 Every 6 Weeks

I received my first remicade infusion last week I received 300, I go back on the 10th for my second treatment.  How long does it take to feel the results from this expensive medicine?Mae, of course everyone is different but I started to feel better after my second infusion.  It does vary, I've never heard of two people I know to be on the same timetable.

After the 3 loading doses I was on 300 every 8 weeks. My RD prefered to up the dosage rather than shorten the time period (esp for patients with jobs)

I ended up on 500 every 8 weeks by the 4th year.

p.s. Each vial (bottle) of remicade is 100 mg. Bigger people are allowed bigger doses - I heard 100mg per kilogram. (That doesn't mean anything to me - I just don't get metrics.)

Hi all,

Joonie I am at 500 every 6 weeks. Is it workig ??? I still have some discomfort but it is tollerable.

Jay

Yeah, Jay it is working for me. I have very little pain, but sometimes I get the odd nagging pain some where. But it is no where near what it was before. But it might also be because the pred is masking some of my pain. I am kinda afraid of what will happen once I get off the pred, if I will still have a little bit of pain and all. I mean I still have ROM problems and cannot do much of anything like walk for a period of time, but that is all fine with me as long as I have tolerable pain.

Joonie

Hi I am up to 700 and I am now taking it every four weeks.  I think my last infusion which was today might be my last unless I suddenly start to feel better.  I have been taking it since June my dose was increased twice in the last couple of months and this is my second dose at 4 weeks before that I think a did two at 6 weeks and maybe one or two at 8 weeks after my initial loading doses.  If just does not seem to be working and I have been feeling worse instead of better since Halloween.  I hope it works for you good luck and take care.
