Well, I made it to my appointment today. I didn't actually get to meet the doctor yet, since new patients are evaluated at length by the Nurse Practitioner first.
She was wonderful. Very thorough, did not make me feel like some junkie for asking for pain medication, and actually got close enough to me to not only see my joints, but she actually touched them!!
Sounds like a good dr. I hope you get into see rd soon but your pcp has you on the right track. Maybe she'll push some buttons to move things along sooner.
