Well don't know how good it is bad pain day for me. My loving husband and teenager has wound up giving me a cold. On top of my ra pain it is still cold and I haven't been warm for days that just makes my joints ache even more.
Sorry for the rant and pity party I am just not feeling to happy with myself today I hate this, I hurt all the time and my husband just is not the most understanding soul about pain I think he thinks I am faking it half the time.

It's been a while since I posted, too. I started all of my meds about 1 month after the doc prescribed them for me. The warning list on the methotrexate was sooo long I was afraid to put the pills down my throat! Finally, I bit the bullet and did it, because I was getting worse. Started on the MTX just 7.5 mg and 5 of pred. Felt some immediate relief from the pred, but after two weeks, just kept getting worse. A couple of weeks ago he upped me to 10 of the MTX, wanted to go to 15 but I was still really bothered by the nausea, so he went to 10. Still no relief. Now my pred is upped. I'm getting nowhere with the meds. No more nausea for me, though, that's a plus! How's everyone else doing?

Lisa, Ask RD about the injectable Mtx. I have read about lots of people here that do it because of nausea. As you know already it seems like we wait forever to see what happens only to be bumped up ion dosage a little. Very frustrating to the person in pain. The prednisone does help in the meen time iI hope. Hang in there it will get better it just may take a few more months. Yes months sorry but there is no reason to lie to you. Everyone is so different and I hope it is fast for you.

Karen, Im really weird about people seeing my house when its messy. There are only about a handful of people that I feel comfortable w/ seeing my house like this. Dont take offense, its not ment to be mean...I'm just really anal about certain things.
About being indecisive, I am the same way. If I have time to think about certain things I will change my mind about a dozen times. I work/think better when Im on a time restriction.

There is this lady that works for my sister, as a waitress. When my brother was down for Christmas we ate a lot where my sister works, and this lady was our waitress. We also know this lady from when she lived by us and when in-laws had their store.

My house is always a mess. And I do not make much of the mess. The only messes I make are in my bedroom, the rest of the house is hubby and the kids.
I did vacuum the living room Sunday night, maybe Saturday and had daughter clean up the living room. The next day I woke up and the living room was a MESS! Did not even look like it had been cleaned or even vacuumed.
I HATE cleaning, because no sooner then I sit down it is a mess again.
On that note... I have yet to start with my "brain to-do" list. I lay awake at night thinking of all the things I need to do and make a list in my forgetful head, and then I just do not feel like doing it when I wake up.

Well, my other option is installing nipple rings with guide wires up to my halo!My christmas tree is still up. Good ole fake tree! I had daughter take the ornaments off of it last weekend, in hopes that once those got off, hubby would take the tree down.
And... WELL... the tree is still up and the other night daughter had the tree lit up.
I will admit... one year we had our tree up, until 2 months before christmas, and then took it down only to put it right back up. Then another year we kept it up until almost August.
I am missing my heated mattress pad. I am cold, but I have to stay out where I can keep an eye on the kids. As son and his cousin like to be mean to each other. I already had to break up 3 fights, well not fights spats... he pulled my hair, she hit me.
Just tell people you like to keep Christmas joy all year long.
Well my tree is still up, decorated and lights burning and it's a real tree. I know when I touch it, all the needles will fall off. I still have needles in my carpet from last year under the heat register where I can't reach them.

This is sooo nice having all ya'll on here at the same time...I haven't lost it...I'm still confused and behind as ever!
And from my family.... humm..... nothing. I did not even notice I did not get anything. My sister called me up and asked me if I noticed I did not get a present. I was like nope did not even notice. This was like last saturday when someone realized I did not get a present. We did name gifts, and well... I was left out... not surprising. My hubby did get 2 gifts from my side of the family. Pretty bad when someone who is not even blood related gets 2 gifts and I got NONE!
SO... I got a Ruby Tuesday gift card, that was one of my other sisters ex-hubby's gift cards, that my brother left since he got his name.
Yep... so .... that is what I got for Christmas.
Oh, and Santa brought my son a pound puppy! Yep we have a new addition to our family dog pack.
He is a loveable mutt that was roaming out in the cold for days before the animal rescue caught him. They have tried everything possible to find out who he belongs to, and no luck, and so they put him up for adoption. He has fit into our home and with our 4 other dogs beautifully. He seems very happy here!

Abi Kitty... is a pain in the bootay! She HATES me! Or is jealous of me & hubby's relationship. I am not sure. I just know she will attack me if I try to pet her, but if hubby pets her she loves on him and lets him, and if I try to pet her when he is in the room, she will let me but she looks like at any moment she will bite me.
She will jump up in hubbies lap and go to sleep, but she will not even let me touch her. She is in love with hubby. She follows him into the bathroom, or where ever he goes in the house. And meows when he goes outta the house.
Ungrateful cat! I feed her and change her kitty litter, and give her clean water and she is mean to me!
I have scratches and bite marks on my right hand from where she plays a little to rough with me. She does not bite hubby... ONLY ME!
I told hubby this morning... that I should have gotten a boy kitty, that way I would have a cat that liked me, like Abi Kitty likes hubby. He said too bad, the house would have smelt like cat piss.
I just wanted a cat of my own and now hubby has took her over.
The other thing is, maybe your hubby needed this. Animals have an amazing way of tapping into our hidden needs and filling them. He didn't even know how much she would mean to him - remember how hard he fought getting her? Abi is doing something for him that will forever change him - for the better! I love to sit back and watch the magic our pets bring to our lives.

She even follows hubby into the shower, she will stand in the shower with him and watch him take a shower. I am telling you... it is getting weird.
Be open and document anything out of the ordinary. See if there are any patterns as to time of day, location. If you feel someone is there, talk to him, and tell him how happy you are to be living there and that you promise to take care of the place for him. That may be all it takes to calm things down.

Karen, do you remember a show (YEARS ago) when we were little called 'Topper'? I don't remember much about it, but I remember my Mom watching it.I love the smell of roses. I bought some lotion from the dollar tree that is rose scented. I rub it on my hands and sniff them.
Oh and I went to Bath & Body Works to get daughter some body spray... actually something girly she likes... and I bought some called moonlit path. I sprayed some on my shirt before we left the house one day and I kept smelling this smell, and I did not say anything and then... after a while I realized it was me that smelled so good. LMAO! I forgot I sprayed myself with it, and I would only smell it when I moved a certain way and catch a wiff of it. I do not wear fragrances, and hubby does not like purfume or anything like that, it bothers his sinuses.

Man... I so do not want to clean up my room. Iam cold. My fingers are popiscles again and my feet are froze and the kids will not sit still. I have to keep yelling at them to get away from the heater.But I have never encountered anything evil. I think it is usually just a trapped spirit that hasn't crossed over, or in the case of a residual haunt, it isn't even a true being, but kind of a "movie" being played over and over without any intelligence or awareness of today's world.

The only thing I will warn you about is that if your hair is thinning, black hair kind of accentuates that. It did with my son. There is so much contrast between his pink scalp and the black hair, you can see the thinning.

Ugh! I did not dye it, I chickened out. Thanks for the heads up on the black making thinning hair look even more thinning. My hair does not look like it is thinning out so bad since I got 8 inches cut off of it, Monday. My hair was stressing my roots out and making them thin. Now I cannot see my scalp as bad and my hair feels a lot lighter. I got a bunch of baby hairs growing in. I can feel them when I run my fingers thru my hair.
I figured if I dyed my hair black all the little baby hairs I got growing in being dyed black would make my hair look a little more fuller. I am not so sure now.
I still am not done with my room. It was pretty messy. And of course am cleaning under everything.
I also swept out from under my bed and found two ones and three ones for a GRAND TOTAL of five ones!! WOohoo!!
