Does anyone have anything exciting going on this year? Any exciting
travel/vacation plans? Surgery plans? I would be excited of what is going on
in everyones lives this year.

TRAVEL, you know that already.  Moss doesn't have a chance under my feet.  We're headed to Texas in March and April.  Then driving slowly up the Calif. coast to Oregon and Stan will drop me off at one of my close friends.  I'll be there a week then hop the bus to Portland and visit with my son and DIL for a week and then off to Washington to meet back up with Stan.  We'll settle down for awhile and then take off to Yellowstone in the late summer and then back to Az. so I can check in with my doctors.  In October we head to La Pineta, Mexico to spend 8 months (if RA/PA/OA allow me that much time)  It's going to be a great year.  No surgery if my other knee holds up and no extensive pain if Humira keeps working.  I have high hopes.

What are you up to this year.  I bet there's some travel plans in your future.  Lindy

Wow Lindy. That sounds wonderful. I bet you can't wait. Are you going
through yellowstone park? Actually we're staying at an RV park at the Park's boundries.  I can't wait, I've been wanting to go to Yellowstone but didn't want to do it with my bum knee.  Now that I have a new knee and  can hike a little I'm ready to go.  My knee and being out of control kept me from enjoying to the max our first 2 years of retirement and travel.  Now that I'm in more control and my knee is good, I plan on making up for lost time.  Lindy

I guess mine is to get better so I can attend a few of daughter's swim meets. And to get son ready for pre-school and then maybe look into getting a job. Need something to keep me occupied while the kiddies are gone to school and hubby at work.

My plans for this year, I guess are... get better, attend a few of daughter's functions and get a job.

If I get to do one of those things this year I will be happy.

Alan

Alan, my son was in the Phillipines for a while last year with the Marine Corps.  Be ready for a little culture shock.

Travel (what else).  I've already done our first trip for the year to Kangaroo Island

Surgery...an Anterior Discectomy and insertion of an artificial disc.  Also the removal of the bursa on my right hip.

Possibly (only very possibly) taking the family home to Toronto for Christmas.  We'll have to see how the finances go for that one.

Allan I was in the Phillippines for 2 summers on summer missions  years and years ago and I loved it!  It's a beautiful place.

I'm leaving for St. Thomas for 9 nights this morning.  I can't wait to swim and relax.  It's been a really tough year for us with lots of crappy things happening.  I was really looking forward to the island, but it has a very sad tone to it now, we had to put our dog down on Friday.  She was 16 and my best friend.  If the vacation wasn't paid for already I think I would stay home.  I can't seem to get myself together, crying constantly.  I'm struggling with the fact that I put her down, she didn't die on her own.

I hope this is a better year!  My next vacation will be nice; a trip to Vegas with my best friend for 9 nights in April.  I know this sounds awful, but it is so stress free going with my friend vs. my husband. Although we'll be really busy (gotta love the tables) I'll be relaxed.

I see RD JAn 15th and i plan to kick this RA AI and all. Thats my big plans 2008. I did all my surgeries in 2004 Like five in a role. Sort of turned me off of surgery for awhile. I would like to wait till 2009 maybe to follow up esophogus but thanks for asking? Oh it is twelve months i may muster up some curage but i doubt it as it stands now. I am leaning on or thanking about moving to Florida as both of my boys will be living about 70 miles apart. But not sure i have the energy yet to move. Not sure i have the energy to pay someone else to do it for me? LOL

My youngest child graduates from high school in June, so empty nest is looming large!  Still trying to figure out what I want to be when HE grows up, LOL!  But finally I will be free of the public school system - woo hoo!

And my daughter is getting married this summer to a wonderful guy who loves her very much!   That will also be a huge part of our lives this year.

Huge milestones ahead, with lots of curvy road.  Should be an amazing year.

Oh my goodness, Hillhoney, I've just dried my eyes. Don't know what to say except it's one heck of a year in front of you and I think you are incredible. What an inspiration... I'll be thinking of you...

Dee

Thank you Dee, that means a lot.
