The last four days I have suffered Extreme Night sweats. Waking sometimes 3 times to change out of my drenched clothes. I have resorted to sleeping on towels. My pain has actually eased some but now im loosing much sleep over this. I started MTX 3 weeks ago and was wandering if that could be the cause. Ive had issues with night sweats for years, off and on... this has been pretty bad though lately and consistent. Anyone have any ideas? I know I have read that RA can cause night sweats itself, but what would be considered normal for RA? I had a partial hysterectomy 2 years ago so I still have one ovary so im Praying that its not Hormonal.

I have them from time to time and have lost some sleep myself. I noticed that mine are worse if even my hand touches my wife I start sweating. Luckily it only happens now and then or I think she might send me to another room to sleep.

I hate night sweats. For the past week and a half or so I have lost sleep because I wake up soaking wet and hot. I figured it was just a lovely gift from RA as it seems to be "giving" me a lot lately. Bastard.Must be something in the air. I've had night sweats lately too, and I just upped my MTX. Hadn't connected the two. I wonder.....I used to get night sweats only during the 10 days I was taking prometrium (a hormone) to balance the estrogen I take every day (for menopause). But now I get sweats right about the same time every night almost every night. I'm also on MTX but didn't connect the dots. Hmmm. Makes me wonder.For me, the night sweats really were reduced when the MTX kicked in. They were definitely an RA symptom for me.
i started mtx last week and had a couple nights of night sweats(soaking my pj's and bed). I really think mine is do to the mtx.
